This is a sad statement for our country ! We have a group of children that can't read, write, spell, entertain themselves or make change from a dollar bill without a computer and we worry about CRAP like this as a viable threat...... We need to let the teachers be teachers and parents disciplin their kids as PARENTS should and these problems will end. When I grew up guns were tools around the house like my father's hammer and saw. You didn't touch them or risked the wrath. You learned how to work, and had to earn things you wanted in life. You learned that life wasn't fair, there were bullies, bad people and you were expected, NO taught, to make good decisions or there were consiquences......I hope we see those days again for our children.......there are not bad guns, there are BAD people.....a second grader playing with a pop tract hardly counts....I grew up playing "war" and mock military games in the woods with friends..when old enough we hunted, fished and traped together..we respected life, wildlife, other's lands and waters....we were afraid of doing wrong, we worked all summer at early ages to earn a gun for deer season or a bicycle we wanted. We then took great care of those items because they didn't come easily, we earned them.....

I have used "Sea Foam" with great results in my equipment.....

A big thank you DOC !!!!!! You have clearly gotten the point and we need to solidify our stand, but as such we have all have differing employment/personal limits.....

I am not sure how you came about that belief; I guess you have spoken to the Sheriff personally ??? There is also a similar letter created by the New York Sheriff's Asociation that was sent to the "elected officials".....

WE need to stand together and make our point starting next November.........our collective votes will count. Sadly, this came as a wake up call for most gun owners in New York.....the thinking "it will never happen" has changed. We need to continue a strong, well planned opposition.......

I tried their stuff a while back....most of what you were sent to "product test" was junk and they continually mailed stuff to your door unsolisited...... Better off to invest your money elsewhere......

Early bow I have seen deer there; but not during rifle season. The cover is sparse and it is a really small size chunk of land....It is good to go there with the kids as the walking is flat and easy. Chance of harvesting a deer with a rifle is very limited.....

I work in law enforcement and this event turns my stomach. Sadly we see too much violence lately... My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, parents, school staff and first responders. All their live have forever been impacted and the list of victims will sadly grow from today. The first thing I did last night was hug my children; even though they are young this incident impacted their live....lets all light a single candle in our homes tonight as a tribute to the victims and those who work diligenty through this terrible event....God speed to the victims and their families.......how about we use this post as a tribute and debate the issues in another forum?

I have hunted that during archery saeson; it get regularly pushed during rifle. The area is also open to hikers, dog walkers and mountain bikers so extra caution is needed. It is a relatively small path of woods....

Big Government has become this nations biggest and worst run business. Our politicians will step over a quarter to get at a penny and feel they are serving the "People".....the working middle class is shrinking every day and more people have their hands out that never worked a day in their lives and waste what they do have, are slobs and misuse the system........sorry a little rant off the topic...but sick of the slobs of the nation......and I haven't even mentioned the Adirondack Park Agency !!!!!!

Nicely done, I butcher two last weekend and made, jerky, sausage and smoke two hams whole after being brined in salt water and maple syrup for 4 days......then a gentle apple wood smoke over 8 hours and heaven for the holiday table.
