Heavy downpours rolling thru northern Nassau right now.

I'm addicted to this show. Tonite they built a mount and swivel for a flame thrower cannon which they shot napalm out of. That was sick! They also restored a K98 Mauser rifle. Their best episode was when they hooked up four fully automatic M16's on a spinning mount that shot continuously.

Congrats grandpa. That's the best present ever.

I do . . . Lol! You know last minute things like batteries, hand warmers before heading out the next morning to camp.

I don't know about that - it depends on who's at the check out. I've had clerks allowing me to use a $10 coupon on a sale of $45 and others who made me buy something to make it over the $50 mark.

Didn't know muzzleloaders could shoot that far . . .

Now Yahoo has it and says the girl was 1.5 miles away. I wish the media would get it right. http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/gun-cleaning-ax-mile-away-kills-amish-girl-27652095.html#crsl=%252Fvideo%252Fus-15749625%252Fgun-cleaning-ax-mile-away-kills-amish-girl-27652095.html -

Oops. Misread it. Mea culpa. But still the guy was an idiot for doing what he did. -
Sad story about the Amish girl that was shot in the head. They think it was from someone who shot his muzzleloader in the air 1.5 miles away. http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/220786/3/Sheriff-Accident-led-to-Amish-girls-death I'm no muzzleloader expert but if you don't fire your muzzy, can't you just remove the primer, the breech and use your rod to push the sabot and pellets out? That's what I did and then cleaned the gun with patches etc.

TC Impact 50 cal http://www.tcarms.com/firearms/firearmDetails.php?ID=6688 Simple, inexpensive, (actually free for me but $229 at Dicks. Seems easy to clean, but I don't know how it shoots since I didn't see any *&^%$#@ deer this past weekend LOL! It's not stainless but whatever reviews I read on it they were all positive.

It sure does. I was hoping to make some venison stew for Christmas Day but I guess that's not going to happen. Maybe I'll have some left over Tag Soup. You should check out my homemade recipe for Tag Soup under the Recipe section on the forum - No worries though, my family will not starve . . .

I wish we all remain healthy this Christmas and into the New Year. We usually host Christmas Eve dinner with tons of fish. Well last year starting two days before Christmas my wife got a stomach virus and then it ran through the rest of us. Needless to say we spent Christmas Eve and a good part of the following week eating saltines and drinking tea and ginger ale. My son stayed home form school yesterday with a bad head cold. But thank God he was better today and we shoved him off. As far as playing Santa - Diamond pendant for the wife (which I still have not picked up); IPad2 for my 15 yo daughter (that's all she asked for) but also got her some Pandora charms and clothes; Itouch for my 10 y.o. and a few Xbox games. I suggested to him either a new Genesis Bow or a kid size shotgun for him, but he wants to wait for his Granddaddy's shotgun. Myself? Don't really care. I buy myself what I want after Christmas like a new scope for my smoke pole and a new climber. However, I have been dropping hints to the wife. We'll see . . . .

I'm putting in some Boudreaux's Pipe Cleaner Red Savina Hot Sauce. Got it as a gift from my bro when he went to Nawlins in October. And yes that is a real alligator's foot.

I made tag soup for dinner tonite. Pretty easy to make. Ingredients: All your unfilled tags (in my case all of them) 6 cups of water 1 Bullion cube Salt and pepper to taste First take all your unfilled tags and cut them up into bite sized pieces Next boil up 6 cups of water. Once the water comes to a boil add the bullion cube. Stir until it dissolves. Add your unfilled tags and bring to a rapid boil. Let simmer for 15 minutes or until the tags are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Open up a nice bottle of wine and . . . There you go . . .

Anyone ever try/use the Square Up Torque Indicator
Deerthug replied to Deerthug's topic in Bow Hunting
After looking at both the Hindsight and the Square Up, I think I like the Square Up better for the following reasons: With the Hindsight, you need to move your 20 yd pin to the center of your site ring. Then you have to site in the rest of your pins. Then when you are aiming to take a shot you need to align the centered pin in the cross hairs and then look at the actual pin you need depending on the distance to your target to make sure it's in the kill/target zone. With the Square Up - you don't move your pins at all. Your pins are already sited in to the appropriate yardage you previously choose whatever they may be. You align the Square up with your pins, select the pin you need and release. With the Hindsight - no peep necessary. However, my concern is if I install the hindsight and don't like it, then I need to re-install my peep which can be a hassle. With the Square Up - the videos show the users looking through their peep. Not sure if you really need your peep site with the Square Up. If I don't like the Square up I can just go back to using my peep and not have to bother to re-site my pins. Price is not much different - only $15 more than Magnum Hindsight and Square up offers free shipping. I think I'm gonna give the Square up a shot. OK Pulled the trigger on the Square Up. I'll update my review once I get it and its installed. -

I'll probably head back up sometime in January to go after some Yotes. I'm hoping to skin them and have a hat made for my son or a fur coat for me LOL!
