  1. I wouldn't call it a bribe. I think of it more as admission by him for being an a$$.
  2. That's what I'm thinking. . . guess it was worth the long drive. Unfortunately for you Wooly my sister in law is married and it's their house/land I go hunting on so I'aint giving that up for nobody. LOL.
  3. My father in law and my mother in law walk in. He's carrying a long brown box. As he walks into the kitchen I get a glimpse of the writing on the box. It has a large TC on it. He walks over to me and hands me this long brown box with a TC on it and says Merry Christmas. I'm holding this box and I look it over. It turns out he bought me a new Thompson Center Impact 50cal muzzleloader with fiber optic sights for Christmas. I'm like and then I was speechless and said . . . er . . . ah . . . . thank you. Wasn't sure what else to say but I knew why he did this. I'm certainly going to enjoy using it this weekend.
  4. Google Chrome is the way to go!!
  5. I've only been on since August 2011 and I've learned so much. It's really enjoyable reading everyone's opinions on different topics. I'm looking forward to visiting the site during the off season as well - I'm sure it will help with hunting withdrawal. Keep it up John.
  6. I agree. I think 1 buck rule will allow the surviving smaller 4's and 6's to become 8's and 10's.
  7. I just start polishing my shotgun when they come calling. Then I make sure they know I hunt big game and teenage boys with raging hormones.
  8. Dude I have a 15 year old daughter who thinks she's 21. Oy vey is all I can say and I'm not even Jewish. Lol. I wish you the best of luck with the girls. And of course your soon to be bundle of joy.
  9. Thanks Doe. It did make sense. I'm going to set up my video camera next time I practice to film myself so I can see what happens to my form as I shoot 15 arrows
  10. I think you are right as far as the muscles are concerned. The shaking usually starts to happen after I have shot about 15 arrows. The first 15 arrows are usually dead-on. After that they start going off center a bit. If I stop for 10 minutes or so and then shoot again, I am pretty much back on target. I admit I don't practice very often. I actually have my first pin set at 10 yds and do practice (when I can) in my backyard at a 3D target. I also live 20 minutes from C&B Archery in Hicksville. I try to go there at least 1 or 2 times a month during the off season to practice in addition to shooting in my yard.
  11. Doc, I would get some heat and electricity running to the dog house! LOL!!!
  12. Scobar I know that feeling. We are at a point where we go out to the stores together buy what we each want, wrap it and put it under the tree.
  13. Steve don't forget the pasta and sauce LOL. Oh Jeez . . . I forgot about that already. Thanks Steve. LOL. Actually we went up last weekend and my brother in law and I both clearly and unequivocally told him - don't shoot anything under 6 points!!! Saturday evening there were at least 15 doe feeding under the stand that he was in when he "shot the doe for me" last time. My brother in law said as we were walking back to the house - "Thank God we didn't put him in that stand again". On way home Sunday he asked me if I had a muzzleloader or if I knew whether his son had one. I told him neither of us do. I told him I'm going back up Friday for bow. Thank God his season is over!!! LOL!!
  14. Can't be worse then me. We were 25/26 when we got married. I come from a traditional Greek background and she's from a traditional Italian family. Both sets were not that happy when we told them we wanted to get married. Picture this: Greeks and Italians in one room trying to get along - one talking in broken Greek/English (I'm sure Karp knows about this) and the other in broken Italian/English. There was a lot of use of the hands on both sides - But after 20 years, her parents treat me like a son and my parents treat her like a daughter they never had. LOL!
  15. I'm not that stupid. I also understand about the chain store merchandise and the cost. I'm not looking to spend that kind of money. I'm just looking to get something decent to wrap and put under the tree - more so for my youngest to think that Santa didn't forget mommy. Trust me . . . Through the years I have bought her expensive jewelry i.e. necklaces, pendants, rings etc. Now they are gathering dust in a safe deposit box. She rarely wears them unless its a special occasion. The less expensive ones she lets my 15 y.o. daughter wear. She doesn't even want me spending money on anything she isn't into material things. After we were married for a few years, my father who had his own fur manufacturing business, was clearing out his inventory and gave her a full length mink coat with sable collar worth $20k. She wore it maybe 5 times since she received it and now its in storage. She would rather spend money on bigger things like vacations, home improvements, etc.
  16. Since High School?? I've known my better half since high school. Now we are 44/45. We practically grew up together.
  17. Why not Biz? Never bought from them before. Something I should know??
  18. Thanks for the suggestion Grow. I'm actually looking at the Open Heart pendants from Kay Jewelers. After 20 years of marriage I never know what to get my wife. http://www.kay.com/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C172099400%7C22137%7C22137.22142.22144
  19. Thanks again Doc for the input. I have another question. When I practice my shooting, and as I continue to shoot more arrows, I notice that my left arm (bow holding arm) tends to move (shake) ever so slightly when I'm aiming. If I release the arrow, it hits off center either to the right or left of where I'm aiming. I'm pulling 55# with a 27" draw length. Sometimes I have to let down, take a deep breath and draw back again. Do you have any suggestions on how to control the movement/shake?
  20. Yes it is for the bow mounted rangefinder. It is positioned so that I can use my ring finger on my bow hand to press it only once and it reads the distance. When I'm ready to shoot I loosen my grip and the grip sits in the web between the index finger and thumb and fingers curled lightly around the grip. PS: WNY you just got me thinking . . . I don't think I'll be even able to install the Squareup since I already have the rangefinder attached to the bow. The rangefinder mount attaches to the outside of the sight mounting bracket. I may be out of luck. PSS: I may just have to practice more often to work on my follow through.
  21. Thanks guys. Doc believe it or not I understood what you said and I actually do not "grip" the grip but just let the grip sit in the web between my index finger and thumb with my fingers curled lightly touching the other side of the grip. It seems as though my problem is in the follow thru. If I just concentrate I may be able to control the torque with the follow thru.
  22. Not sure what you mean about a wrist strap. This is what I have Is that what you mean?
  23. I have a level on my site which helps with left and right cant but my problem is the wrist turning in or out. I try not to grip the bow too tightly but I can feel my wrist turning just before releasing. I think this square up may help.
