I sometimes wondered about people using the rack that attaches to the receiver hitch for hauling deer . I would think that the fumes from the exhaust would have some effect on the deer carcass .

He is guaranteed something like $60 million in his contract and could probably care less what people think . I also hope they Boo the hell out of him !

A closer look

Several years ago I was hunting some State land . I came across a couple guys dragging a huge buck . They were having a heck of a time as the antlers were catching on everything . I told them they should grab the buck by the antlers and it would make the task easier . Off they went . About a half hour later I saw them again . I said , now isn't that an easier way to drag that big deer . One of the guys said that it sure was easier but that they were getting farther away from their truck .

Havn't been able to hunt my SIL's woods in quite a while as the field to it is always wet and gushy and the woods would hold water rather than drain .It has really dried out this year . I took my ATV to geneseo with some tools and posted signs . My Sil and I met the guy that hunts the property north of hers . We located the property stakes and put up several signs on the north end . The west side is a ditch that normally is filled with water . The east side isn't a problem as the property owner is the only one that hunts there . As for the north end of her property , we made an agreement with each other for retrieval rights . Debating on whether or not to put up a treestand in the woods . It's a long walk for an old man . The guy that bush hogs the riding trails for the GVHC made it much easier to get back to the woods . I pulled cards from 4 trail cams and from the looks of my Hub Blind on raised stand , I need to replace it . I will try to do that in the next couple of weeks . Got a lot to do in the next couple of weeks . Maybe I can get my youngest son to give me a hand some Saturday .

Buckmaster7600 -- I did that in my younger years . Dragged my 1st bow kill buck almost a mile . Never again ! I will be 75 this coming bow season .

I believe what works best is to shoot the deer closer to where you are parked !

That was a decent sized yote . Many of the farmers like them as they keep the deer population down . I have been told by a couple farmers never to shoot a coyote on their property .

Spent a little while observing deer in a spot where we have permission to hunt . Saw several deer but got some close-ups of a buck , fawn , coyote and doe .

Rob , are there any Alpine dealers near you ? If so , they may have some parts laying around the shop . Check it out . I am only 5'8" and was shooting with a 29" draw that I was sure was okay . I had to kind of distort my body to shoot . Got a bow with a 28" draw and what a difference . Good luck .

I bought a half dozen Victory Decimator Bolts and they group well at 30 yards . You can even order the bow from Wal-Mart for $278 and if you don't like it , it would be easier to return . Most of the cameras recommend Alkaline Batteries . Heavy duty batteries don't last long .
