I used to hang my Practice Bow in the garage but it has been too hot lately . The garage seems to hold heat even with the roof vents . I keep the bow in the house in a plastic case .

The Temp is down to 75 degrees here .

A light drizzle here right now . If it would only keep it up until morning ....... oops , just heard the "rolling thunder" . I have a couple of pork butts in the smoker and have an umbrella over the top plus I put a plastic container over the heat / time digital control that was suggested in a video . I have had the meat in since about 8 am . It's looking good but only 140 degrees so far . When it gets to 160 I can take it out and tinfoil it and cook for another 3 hours or so . My wife bought a 8.8 pound pork shoulder and before putting it in the smoker , I had to cut it in half to be able to handle it . My arms smell like smoke .

I hadn't shot my bow in the basement over the winter months like I had done in the past . It has been quite hot out so I hadn't been shooting outside either . Yesterday afternoon I grabbed the bow and my bucket with arrows and went out back . Shot 3 series of 7 arrows each . Half way through I was pretty much okay . Something didn't look right and I thought , where is my string loop and the peep seemed different . Then it dawned on me that my hunting bow was in a case and I was shooting my 70# Parker Phoenix instead of my Ben Pearson TX-4 with the Moog string on it . Anyway , I plan to shoot at least 5 times a week until October 1st .

Got pics of another buck cruising the area

Once we start getting rain , I think this guy will disappear . He goes to my friends pond to drink and my friend has pics of him there . None in daytime hours on my cams . But my friend has a pic of this guy around 10 am at least once . The swamp has pretty much dried up and so has the ditch so water is scarce .

I havn't been seeing very many deer during the mid afternoon but today was different .I saw deer at 4 different locations between 11 am and 1 pm . I wonder if they are out looking for water .

Can't you ask the property owner for permission to place a camera on his property ?

This post reminds me .... I have to get some more ratchet straps and replace some on existing stands that I leave out all year . I leave stands up . The deer get used to them being there .

The difference is most bow hunters wear camo to avoid being seen . I don't want some hunter out there using a rifle when bow hunters are wearing camo . Most intelligent hunters wear some Blaze Orange during the gun season . We don't need to mix and match !

I have 3 Moultrie I-35 trail cams that must have been made by Timex . two of them are 50 miles away in Geneseo and one of those has been in use for 5 years . They don't make this model anymore . Phade mentioned The Moultrie TRACE camera some time ago . I now have 4 of those and they are great .... no , awesome for $40 each . I have had bad luck with a couple of Primos Truth Cam Ultra . They were junk as well as some stealth cams .

For clarification .......... I am not okay with wanna-be women going to the bathroom with women and children . but ............ that is the price that North Carolina is going to pay for non support of Trans Gender bathrooms . I wasn't sure whether to type slow or in bigger print for you to get it !
