We used to make apple throwers . Take a stick about 2 1/2 feet long , sharpen the end and put a green apple on it . You could throw an apple a long distance and with force . A bit of practice and you could get fairly accurate . We used to have teams and throw them at each other . Getting hit with a green apple at great velocity would hurt ! Later in the fall we would have Walnut Wars . We would carry a few walnuts that still had the outer husks on them that were turning soft and throw them at each other . Made sure we weren't wearing school clothes . I think I was the smartest in the bunch as I wore a rubber glove on my throwing hand so I didn't end up with the walnut stain that would last for a week or two . We had fun !

People checking out at the register in the grocery store looking for two pennies so the don't have to break a nickle . Several times I have given a nickle , dime whatever to speed things up . Good grief !

Shopping Slobs Shoppers that leave the cart between cars when the rack is only 2 vehicles away . These same jerks will send their kid to push a cart 100 feet to a rack to get their quarter back at Aldi's stores . People that open their car door and drop their garbage in the lot . They probably think it's safer than tossing it out the window . The person than opens their car door and dumps their cigarette butts in a parking spot .

People who pull out from a side street / road in front of you and you have to slam on the brakes . Then a 1/4 mile up the road they turn into a driveway . What was their hurry ! The guy that pulls out in front of you and drives 40 mph in a 55 mph zone . Double solid line so you cant't pass . Light changes and you start to hit the gas and the car behind you blares on his horn . What was his hurry ! I was awake and conscious about the light change and ready to go .

I hate snakes . They do a lot of good in getting rid of rodents , etc but I just hate the things .

I hate it when there is a sign that says "single lane ahead" and people move to the one lane and then inconsiderate a-holes come speeding up the lane that's closing and cut into the traffic . Apparently they are above any compliance !

I have been doing my own laundry for close to 40 years . We have our own separate hampers . Never been a problem .

Still waiting for rain in Ontario . The ground is very dry and hard .

Yes .. but not with bailing twine . Used to cut cattails , split an end , tie a string around the nock end so it wouldn't split all the way . Then stick a sparkler in the other end and shoot it up in the air . Did a few other oddball things to make arrows . Never got in trouble doing any of this stuff .

Got some rain this afternoon but still need a lot more . It was just a tease even though it did come down hard for a few minutes . A few minutes after it stopped I looked at the back patio and it was almost dry . The hot / warm stones evaporated the water .

It's only about 750 miles . Why not drive .....

I bought a cheap Black & Decker table saw many many years ago . The on - off switch was kinda like a clothes pin the way it came out . Pull out - on . Push in - off . Squeeze it and pull out and the switch key comes completely out to child proof the operation . It stated for safety when not using take the switch key out and put it where a child won't be able to get at it . I put it in a safe place and forgot where . I was able to switch the saw on and plugged it into one of the power strips . I was able to turn the saw on and off with this . About 8 years later I was getting rid of stuff in the garage . Came across an old jacket to toss . Checked the pockets and there was the damned original switch . But ..... it was in a safe place !

I thought the same thing about re-rolling the Tobacco into another cigarette . Some people might put a half cigarette into the container and go in the store so the guy could relight these . Anyway they could be catching someone else"s germs and get sick . Yuck !
