Okay , so they tranquilize X number of bucks and neuter them . Will they put some sort of tag on the buck so they can identify it don't waste time and tranquilize it again ?

The way they attract the Bucks in order to do the procedure is ....... They put up signs that says "The Buck Stops Here" .

If stuff is being taken from a barn or out building , your friend should put up a couple of motion sensor lights . And put up a better trail camera .

You need to set up a junk decoy camera with a good one facing it and try to get a pic of the SD card thief . Place the good camera high with it angled down facing the other one .

Except for one model camera , I have had the best luck with Moultrie Game Cameras . I have three Moultrie I35 GameSpy cams . one has been out for 5years and still takes excellent pictures . Phade told us about the MOUltrie TRACE Premise cams and I now own 4 of those . I was able to buy them for $40 each . Great buy for the price . I did own a couple of Primos mini cams and neither of those worked very long and are in the junk pile . I had 3 Primos Truth cams and 2 of those are now trash . So , in my opinion , the Moultries are the best for low cost & efficiency but no doubt Phade will probably feel the Covert Black Flash are the best .

But the law allowing the use of longer-range weapons to harvest whitetail deer and black bear was only temporary and is scheduled to expire on Oct. 1. The process of making the law permanent is now underway. New York Sen. Catharine Young, R-Olean, and Sen. Patrick Gallivan, RElma, have announced that legislation they sponsored to authorize use of rifles for big-game hunting permanently in Livingston County has passed the Senate. Young and Gallivan secured passage of the original legislation but as is customary where rifle hunting is newly allowed, it was only on a two-year trial. “Sportsmen are an invaluable booster to our economy and for many hunting is a way of life,” Young said in a statement. “Permanently allowing rifle hunting will continue to grow Livingston County’s economy and keep local rifle hunters from having to travel to neighboring counties to hunt.” Livingston followed Wyoming, Allegany, Steuben, Ontario and Genesee in enacting rifle legislation. Statewide, rifle hunting is permanently legal in 43 counties. For decades, safety concerns regarding the possible use of rifles in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Region were hotly debated. Projectiles from rifles travel much farther than shotgun slugs. However, studies have shown that hunters who use rifles tend to be highly safety conscious and more selective in taking a shot because of their gun’s range. The 2015-16 hunting season was among the safest on record. According to the Department of Environmental Conservation, there were 23 shooting incidents, third-lowest number since records started being kept in the mid-1950s. And for the first time, there were zero fatalities. “The temporary law allowing rifle hunting in Livingston County has been a success and it’s time to make the law permanent,” Gallivan said. “This is great news for the sportsmen and sportswomen of our region and the local businesses that support hunting.” The new Livingston County rifle bill is No. 7187. It has been delivered to the Assembly and referred to the environmental conservation committee.
