I was in the local Tractor Supply today . They have small boxes of Hot Hands Hand Warmers on sale ... 10 pair for $4.99 . That's 50 cents a pair . Not bad but last year I was able to get a box of 40 pair for $19 at BJs Wholesale and they came with a few pair of Toe Warmers .

Hunted Geneseo again . Saw nothing . Heard very few shots .... all in the distance . My SIL came out and walked along the gully to see if she could kick anything out Nothing . Then we walked down to the pond field and didn't kick anything out of there . But ... the weather was great .

All is quiet on the Western Front. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
My morning hunt sucked . It was cold , windy and damp . I was at my spot in Geneseo by 6:30 and stayed until 10:30 . Heard 3 shots a ways off north west of the property . I will give it a try tomorrow with the hopes that some hunters will be out moving the deer . Didn't see one car / truck parked along Lima Road where I used to see hunters park .

Why take a chance of bringing the ticks home ............

I just bought a backup winch at Harbor Freight for $49.95 + tax . Their price now with coupon is $59.99 for that 2500# capacity winch . Still a good deal and it has a remote .

Gut pile is okay to leave on property as long as it is somewhat out of sight . Everything else has to go . Thanks for the responses .

When I grind the venison , I use the coarse plate 1st and then the smaller plate on what I had just ground . I just bought another grinder ... a Weston with the stuffing tubes . I went on line and bought some Weston Vacuum Sealing bags and also bought some of the 2# tube bags for the burger . Now all I need is another deer .

The last two deer we took out of South Bristol had a lot of Deer Ticks . We would hate to haul the tick infested deer back to my sons place and have the ticks in his barn or in the lawn . I was thinking , why not take a pulley / gambrel with him as well as some plastic totes and garbage bags . Then hoist the deer in a tree . Skin it and quarter it . Put the hide in double garbage bags and bring it home . Has anyone ever tried tried this ?
