I have a NEF 25-06 single shot and love it . It is my go to deer rifle . The only draw back is that the ammo is 1 1/2 times as much . My 14 year old grandson has a Savage 25-06 bolt action and shot 2 deer this season . I re-load for both of us which helps keep the ammo price down . The re-loading components I have are before all the prices went up .

I report my Meter Readings each month . Didn't like the Bogus RG&E "estimated" readings .

Anyone old enough to remember these ...... ?

It's 8 degrees here in Ontario right now . The wind has subsided quite a bit . So glad I have a whole house generator in case anything happens .

Anyone else buy any hunting item that they thing was a Bad Purchase ?

I am using a Craftsman 125 psi air compressor . It worked okay in spots but was worthless once the air got to the open chest cavity . Any of the videos I saw , showed deer that hadn't been field dressed . Ya think that might have had something to do with it ?

As long as there is no way for the air to escape , it works fine ( neck and legs ) . With the chest cavity open , It has no resistance to the hide and can't loosen it . Notice in the video that it is done without being field dressed . A waste of money . It's just a gimmick .

I have made several Bad Purchases for hunting gear . One of the worst ones I made was the "Air Skinner" . It has several needle type devices that you carefully use with an air compressor to loosen the deer's hide for easier skinning . The video makes it look pretty easy . However , the video shows the Air Skinner being used on a deer that hasn't been field dressed . On a field dressed deer , it is pretty much worthless as the air escapes through the field dressed chest area . It works fairly well on the neck area and the legs but worthless on the rest of the deer hide . Need a Tow to the Charger Station ....

Lighted nocks also help finding the bolt after a pass through . Not always easy finding a bolt in the grass after a pass through without a lighted nock . It's only money !

When I was 14 in 1955 , my dad let me buy a 22 . I bought a used Marlin 22 cal lever action for $35 at Hughes Sporting Goods Store in Dansville , NY . I gave the rifle to one of my sons a couple years ago . Shot a heck of a lot of woodchucks with that rifle .
