Stopped by there on the way home today . I didn't need anything but was going by so I checked the store . They have a fairly good selection of ammo but more pricy than it was a few months ago . Update --- I got out the multi-meter and was going to check the solenoid and key switch but all that is behind the front mounted gas tank . Got some tools and was going to remove the gas tank . Hmmmm , there is a fuse . Maybe I should check that for the hell of it . Pulled it out and it was burned plus a prong broke off . Got the broken prong out and replaced the fuse . Hooked the battery cables up and retried the key switch . Voila ! It started . Mowed part of the lawn and it conked out . When I popped the hood to check the new fuse , the engine was smoking a bit . Added some oil stop leak plus oil , replaced the fuse and finished mowing the lawn . The 2nd year I had the mower it smoked and I had to add oil . Apparently the oil would leak onto the manifold and smoke . I had 2 mechanics tell me that the Kohler engines were known for this because the seals would dry out allowing for the leakage . I doubt the problem is solved unless there is a thermostat or something that lets the mower the engine is heating and blows the fuse for safety . Hmmmmmmmm ?

I havn't had any luck finding large pistol Mag primers . I'm not in dire need but can't reload any 44 mag for my son until I get some . I wasn't swift enough to think of primers when the ammo shortage began . Shame on me !

I use the standard Arizona E-Z fletch as I like the longer vanes . The Mini will work the same way for the shorter vanes so it should work quite well .

I believe the black flies think the bald spot on the back of my head is a landing strip and they attack it .

A few days ago I noticed the black flies were showing up and figured it must be almost Turkey Season . I havn't turkey hunted in a few years mostly because of these tiny pests . Took my walk tonight around 6:30 and the darned black flies were all over . Anyone else seeing this in their area ?

Borax ..... The 1st deer I ever shot was a small racked buck ( couldn't shoot a doe unless you had a party permit) . I hack-sawed the rack off and put Borax on the hair and meaty part and made a board to mount it on . The Borax did the trick .

I gave away several boxes of the Thunderbolts a couple years ago . I had it for a few years and think I paid around $13 for a brick . I think a lot of the Remington ammo is real dirty to shoot . That stuff really dirtied up my Ruger 22/45 pistol .

I have only been out by there 3 times to place and check the camera . Trying to figure out where to put a ladderstand where it won't be on a trail but close enough to shoot a deer . A couple trees are good but a stand on either would have me too much in the open . A lot of time left to figure it out . None of those deer look big enough to be carrying any babes .

I bet that face paint job probably scared that buck to death !

Back to the MidWay bit ----- I don't buy too much from them as I think their shipping costs are quite high . The last thing I bought from them was a composite forearm and Youth Stock for a NEF rifle . I wasn't able to find these elsewhere .

The guy that owns the property doesn't deer hunt but he hunts ducks and geese . That's about the main reason he bought this property . I have yet to get a shot at any deer on the property so I am due .
