It has rained so much that I have "dollar spots" in the front lawn . It's a disease caused by so much dampness . The lawn guy told me not to cut my grass any shorted than 3" . Way out in the back part of the yard , it isn't mowable as the water doesn't drain off . It has been a weird year for wet lawns !

Dropped my grandson off in Irondequoit after he spent a couple days with us . Saw these guys on List Street . The doe came right into the road . I parked the car and took these pics .

Dayum , I didn't think I would turn out to be the bad guy by telling someone using bait is illegal in the state ! If the guy hadn't told me how good it was , we wouldn't even have had a conversation at all . He came across as belligerent when I mentioned the fact that it is illegal and I don't use the stuff but he persisted in saying how well it works . I said I wouldn't even try it as the 1st time I would probably have someone arresting me for an illegal activity and he said the guy would get a dose of lead . I figured the guy had a screw loose in his head . Yeah , I am a terrible person ........... I had an incident a couple years ago when I had a camera set up on a friend's property . Apparently there were apples placed in front of the camera . I was in disbelief when someone mentioned it . I found out that my friend's kid put some there "to help me out" . I asked him not to as it would get me in trouble and that was it . Apparently the kid was smarter than the guy I met in the store !

The guy was telling me that he had also put out minerals and Deer Cocaine . I tried to tell him that any type of feeding the deer is illegal and he didn't want to accept that . He probably wasn't happy that he stopped to talk . I am just glad that he wasn't "carrying" ! He came across with the tough guy bit and I tried not to laugh out loud .

I stopped off at DICKs in Webster this afternoon to check out a couple things . While I was there I stopped in front of a display that I initially thought was food plot seed . It was Deer attractant and a guy was telling me how good it worked . I told him it is illegal to use in NYS and he said he didn't hunt over it . It was just to attract the deer for pictures , and get them to come to his property . I told him I wouldn't use the stuff as I would probably have someone tapping me on the shoulder and lose my license . He said if someone tried that he would shoot them . I said "no you wouldn't" . He said "yes I would ". I said what you are doing is breaking the law and he walked away pissed .

I am surprised they didn't use the politically correct term --- "alleged" !

Well , I bought the Self Propelled Huskee with the 160 cc Honda Engine at TSC . It was $300 and I had a 10% off coupon . Put it together and mowed the lawn ....... 6 bags of grass later I was done . Real easy pull start . Now I have to get rid of my rider mower .

No doubt the dirt-bag's family will want to sue the cop for some dumb ass reason ........

My wife and I celebrated 51 years of marriage yesterday . She doesn't schedule anything for me from October - December . Her father got me started with deer hunting .

It's sunny and dry here after all that rain from yesterday . Got home from church and brunch and see that the neighbors had cut their lawns . Looks like a nice day .
