WE used to have a drop-off for used batteries at the town hall but they discontinued taking them . As far as what size , rechargable or not , external power , etc , use whatever floats your boat !

So glad they came out with digital cams . I still have an old 35 mm trail cam stashed away .......

That was posted on here a few months ago but it was good to watch it again .

My newer cams use the C & D batteries . I hate the cameras with the AA batteries and I had to change them too often . The "Wild View" cameras would eat the AA's and the cameras took 14 batteries each . I have a Moultrie IR camera out that still has 65% battery life after 2 months in freezing weather and taking 3500 pics ( due to the camera being too sensitive and taking 3 pics on each trip ) . I started using the "Jobsmart" batteries from Tractor Supply and bought sever packs when they had them on sale ( $5 for 8 C batteries ) . The Fuji batteries at Big Lots also hold up great .

Trespassing is illegal ! What's to understand about that .... Many are assuming the guy is after his dogs . Who knows . I was brought up to respect the property of others and not to go on it without permission . But , I suppose that's "old school" .

I GOOGLEd Holley Squirrel Hunt and got a few listings / reports . Some of the responses were made that the hunters should be shot , etc .. Also that hunters are Neandthrals , illiterate and so on .

Looks like a fat kid on a bike way in the background so they are probably out for a stroll and not hurting anything !

The report is from New Zealand and I believe they said it was a .177 cal .

Attended the dinner last night at the American Legion Hall in Ontario , NY . There were a few guest speakers Wayne County Sheriff - Barry Virts Wayne County Clerk - Mike Jankowski Wayne County Justice - Honorable Dennis Kehoe and a representative from SCOPE They gave opinions on the NYS SAFE Act and answered some questions . Sheriff Virts handed out some papers that explained much of the SAFE Act . Judge Kehoe was limited as to what he could say as a Justice but he is a gun owner and said that the only thing that would hold up any Pistol Permit applications is the amount that are being processed . He has to wait for the background checks to be done before they hit his desk .

It would have been simpler if they removed the list and had the folks that wanted to , Opt In !!!

Too long and for the most part , it was boring !

I bought the Wildgame rangefinder with the Angle Inclination from the Sportsman's Guide and received it today . It looks like it is going to be fun to use the upcoming fall hunting season . The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't use a conventional battery . It takes a CR2 that can be pricy and not available in all stores . Even crooks are lazy . The odds are that they would use the driveway for convenience so they could load stolen items in a vehicle . I would put camo on any sensor left out . A few years ago friends of ours from Williamson were robbed when they weren't home . It was during the winter months and they had photos of footprints left in the snow and tied it in with some other robberies . Apparently the thieves would watch homes and look for a pattern as to when the home owners would come and go and figure the best time to perform a robbery . They took cameras , TVs , VCR and jewelry . Some of the jewelry was of sentimental value . The thieves were caught and were wearing the snearers that made the prints . Another friend on Ridge Road in Ontario said his neighbors across the street were working in the back yard . The wife came into the house to find someone with her purse . He ran out the front door , jumped in a waiting car and they sped off . We used to leave our garage door open all night long and have the cars unlocked in the driveway . Not any more . Thieves hit out tract and the one behind us a few years ago . The cops said that the culprits would hit Newark then Ontario , go to Lyons , etc and jump around the county . I had 2 pellet rifles taken from my garage in broad daylight because I had left the garage door open for some carpenters . ADT is a good system to use also !
