  1. Yeah , what's with the "Honorable" ? I know you were just being polite ................
  2. My SIL swears she has seen 2 bucks still wearing their antlers in hep pasture lot a couple days ago in Geneseo .
  3. Same here for the compound . I'll be 72 this upcoming season and can still draw my 60 and 70 pound bows and will stick with them until I can no longer shoot them . I have no interest in owning a Crossbow . And ......... at almost $4 a gallon , i'm not going to throw any gas on the fire !
  4. Are you saying even Beikirchs dosen't have any 22 ammo ? I havn't been in there in a couple months so I havn't checked . I was able to get a couple boxes of .380 bullets and some 20 ga sabot slugs . Then again when stock comes in , guys that might have bought a couple boxes of 22 ammo will now purchase a couple of bricks instead .
  5. It would be a sturdy blind but I wouldn't use it for a crapper . Those things are quite solid .
  6. Dave --- welcome to Hunting NY
  7. If you did that in October would it be considered baiting ?
  8. Doc ---- Put a trail cam out by the car and catch that culprit red handed errrrrrr red tongued !
  9. What the heck . Squirrels are cousins to rats and plenty of people eat them .
  10. Great picture ..... should be on a Post Card
  11. I shoot most of the chucks with a 223 V-max bullet . It makes a mess out of them . Some people say they are cleaner than rabbits . I have never been able to bring myself to eat any wood chuck . I recall seeing a couple crock pot recipes but I didn't save them . I bet they could be GOOGLEd though .
  12. We all know what the US Postal service is ...... why is it necessary for them to spend money to advertise
  13. Thet thar's a good'un !
  14. I have one of the Bowmaster bow press' . It's a real handy tool and $25 is a good price for one .
  15. See if this works .........
  16. Exactly ! At least this guy didn't take out a bunch of people before doing himself in !
  17. Good point . Before I put a Bow Sling on my bow I gripped the bow too hard for fear of dropping the bow . I was torquing the bow . Once I had the sling on I was able to shoot without gripping . A Whisker Biscuit is an excellent rest ( if you aren't shooting Quick-Spin Vanes ) .
  18. I wonder if Dick's will list the shotgun that the guy used to shoot himself as "slightly used" !
  19. In the past I thought Factory Ammo had tight tolerances but I have since found it to be untrue . I have been loading 270 ammo for my son and he said it was more accurate then the 270 Remington CoreLokt rounds . This is my load data and shouldn't be used unless trying out at a lower charge and working your way up . It's a near max load and shouldn't be used for a starting load . I started out at less than 50 grains of powder . CCI 200 rifle primers 57 gr of R19 130 gr Sierra Game King OAL 3.34
  20. Sheriff Barry Virts of Wayne County said in one of his reports that permit applications would be by appointment as there have been so many . The Honorable Dennis Kehoe has no problem signing them once they are in the system . I have no idea as to how long the process is now .
