  1. Yeah , gotta remember those "widow makers" . I have a ladder stand that I need to move when the weather improves . I don't use it much but no sense in having it trashed or taking any chances .
  2. Bubba is sitting in a nice warm location in the Daks with a lowered blood pressure . He's doing fine .
  3. WE don't need any steenkin' snow !
  4. That's why you use a tree stand with a rifle shooting rail / rest or hunt from a blind using a bi-pod or tri-pod to support the weight of the crossbow . They are quite accurate at a distance using a support .
  5. I will keep shooting my compounds until I get old . I'm only 71 ..........
  6. Hans , the owner , just bought a new home here in Ontario a couple years ago . I don't think he'd want to move again very soon . I agree that the East Rochester store is a Goldmine ! They get some huge orders from gun clubs as well as serving the general public .
  7. Jeez Dom , you must be bored ! Joey ---- Go to the DeerHunting Forum and then to page 18 and it's there . The link itself has 20 pages .
  8. I am going to Indiana for a weekend later this month . Will have to check out ammo there .
  9. The article said the guy has been under investigation for a few years so they must have a pretty good reason ...........
  10. The only wear you will have on your bowstring would be where you nock the arrow . This can be corrected with some fine serving placed where the arrow is nocked . I guess I should clarify my above statement before someone mistakes what I am saying . Of course the whole string will wear over time but adding serving to the nocking area will build up that area to keep the nock snug .
  11. If you have say , a 28" draw ,add a D-Loop and pull your string back until it hits the wall , it's still a 28"draw . What is affected is your anchor point . Your draw length would be the same .
  12. More instructions .......... http://unofficialatfaq.tripod.com/dloop.htm
  13. I changed from the metal D-loop to the string . As bad as my hearing is , I could hear a "Ka-zing" noise when I released an arrow . There are various string material for the D-loops . I bought a kit at Dicks and the string was limp . I later bought a length of stiffer string material and it has worked great on 2 bowstrings . It was a stiffer , heavier string .
  14. Here is one video ......I have it on a PDF but don't know how to post it .
  15. I will have to look up the directions . If I can do it , anyone can . It was quite easy .
  16. Doc , I think you took the Bait ! Why bother responding to his post !
  17. You snooze ---- you lose !
  18. If Punksatawney Phil sees his ahadow , it means 10 more weeks of basketball .
  19. Happy Birthday ...have a great day !
  20. I shoveled the driveway about an hour ago . About 1" of the light stuff . We are only 2 miles south of Lake Ontario and expect to get hit with the Lake effect crap . It's snowing pretty good now .
