    Knocked one off me yesterday while sitting in the Ladder Stand ! 4H

    I've kicked many Deer while walking to my Ladder Stand , what I do pre season is actually Rake the trail leading to my Stand so there are no twigs that can snap or leaves sounding like rice crispies on the way in . It seem to help alot !

    I have too say what a Great Group of Hunters here on this sight ! Thanks for all the suggestions on my Son's Crossbow ! If we ever have a GTG in the Albany area I'll bring my wife's Irish Soda Bread !

    I bought it used off here , but it works great until now of course ! He got a little whiplash on the side of his head but nothing more ( thank god) . I think the Crossbow is 3 years old ! And Crossbow Season is over in just under 2 weeks , until after Gun opens and closes !

    Well my son had a nice 4 pointer lined up with his Crossbow and SNAP ! His string snaps ! I called Field and Stream ( Latham Farms ) to get it Re Strung and they said " No Problem , anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 weeks " Flying Arrow in East Greenbush does not have their Voicemail setup , nice Business ! Anyone know of a place to get a Crossbow re-strung in 2-3 days max ? Albany area or close by ?

    Well I haven't been out yet , I'm waiting for Girly ( Crossbow ) bow season to open tomorrow ! LOL I'm sure it's gonna be a tough night to get some sleep , I'll probably wake up 1-2 hours before necessary and head out early ! Good Luck all you Girly Men !

    My son was out on our property in 4H -Durham- this AM and he saw 3 big doe , 2 small ones , 2 bucks and 2 yearlings and no shots , he's desperate to use the Crossbow but knows better ! Tomorrow !!!

    I've taken the majority of my Deer in the AM , I get into my Tree Stand when its still dark !
