Astorino picks a running ,mate.
BKhunter replied to bubba's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Bubba any links you can share to read more on the "Second Plan" I always assumed more idioc laws were coming down the pipeline but haven't seen anything in hard print. This would truely get me to leave the state if something like that was implemented. Colorado here I come. -
Just curious what time everyone usually is in there spot before the sun comes up. I try to get in shortly before first light but I hear some people being seated as early as 4am. I feel like that's a lot of sitting in the dark for no reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BKhunter replied to Meat Manager's topic in Deer Processing
I tried making jersey is my propane smoker..... Came out super dry and crunchy.... I think the temp just does not get low enough. It was only in the for 6-7 hrs too. Had much better results in my dehydrator. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Binoculars Recommendation
BKhunter replied to BKhunter's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Not looking to break the bank, but not looking to cheap out either. -
Wanted to get a good pair of binoculars and would am looking for some recommendations. Mainly I would be using them in update NY to look across fields to gauge points and glass into the wood line, but would also like to start going on some hunts out west and use them to glass out there. Can anyone recommend a good pair and power? Thanks.

It's a card that allows you to take your pistol out of the 5 Burroughs while hunting, but don't know to much more. I'm hoping to get further detail when I pick up my license and the card. I would like to take it out of the city during non hunting months and be able to shoot on the property so in hoping it allows this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was recently approved for a NYC pistol premise permit. In order to bring the pistol hunting I need to apply for a hunter authorization card which is no big deal. Do you know if this card will also allow me to bring the pistol to our property upstate for target practice if I want to target practice during non hunting months? Or if I can even do this regardless of the card? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

http://www.cnsnews.com/commentary/terence-p-jeffrey/86m-full-time-private-sector-workers-sustain-148m-benefit-takers By all means pay our veterans and pay the people who paid into social security but this is insane. I rather have control over my retirement and put it into my own Ira or 401k, rather than pay the government who will spend it. I have at least another 30 years of work ahead of me and am really starting to question when the system is going to crumble around us. This can't keep up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another follow up question is when you say $70 or $40 an acre is that per year or per month Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I want to use the land for hunting and a weekend getaway but minimize the taxes and maybe bring in some income here and there to help with the mortgage and help maintain the property Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for all the insight. The reason I am asking I was looking at a piece that was 147 acres with only 6 being fields. Trying to figure out a way to bring some income and slash the taxes dramatically.

I was looking into some property in Delware county and it is mostly wooded. I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten someone to log their property and if so what does it pay. Once the areas are cleared I was thinking of leasing the land to a farmer to plant crops. Does anyone know how much this usually brings in on an annual basis per acre? I am new to this so just trying to crunch the numbers to see if it can work out. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully they reinstate selling them. They would need to repeal parts of the safe act and I don't see that happening anytime soon unless we have a huge turnout in November Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hunt up in Colombia county and was looking into property there. 85k seems like a pretty good price for over there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
