Not sure what you mean by launcher, but this is the arrow position when the rest starts dropping lower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One other question. Jeremy above mentioned is the rest timed properly. I throw the bow in the draw board, and it seems the rest starts dropping away when the shaft of the arrow has traveled half way. Is this correct?
-
I was looking at this and if I lower the rest I will have clearance issues I beleive, so I may need to raise my nock point. Unfortunately the shop burned the ties down pretty good so it looks like D loop pliers and D look materials need to be ordered unless you guys think regular needle nose will work and I can reuse what they tied again?

Shot a fletched arrow and thank you for that suggestion. I am actually shooting nock low right
-
I believe so. Again, this is the first time I am tuning a bow myself so not 100% certain of all the things I need to be looking for. I just bought my own press and draw board so I am going through thew motions as a complete newb.
-
I was not messing with the limb bolts. The draw weight has stayed the same.

I am shooting a vapor trail rest. It is limb driven.

No, the Prime has this Flexion system (cable gaurd). Apparently this system helps adjust your left to right on the Prime's. The bolt I was adjusting is what connects this to the riser.
-
This is my first go around with tuning a bow myself. From what I am told/read, getting a bare shaft tuned first is the way to go, but what do I know. Seems if the arrow was fletched or not I am still at a loss here. Seems the adjustments I made didn't look like it changed much, so not sure if there are other issues at play here.

Hey all, I’m tuning my prime which was set up my a pro shop. Shooting a bare shaft through paper at about 5-6 ft I’m getting a bad tear which I can’t tell if it is nock high left or nock low right. I believe it is low right. The first three arrows shot are the far right three in the photo the furthest left is with 1 turn let off from the flex is bolt attached to the riser and the second from the left is with two turns off. The bolt was originally all the way cranked down. Not sure what the issue is here as this is my first go at tuning. Can anyone lend some ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey All, With a baby due in September this year getting upstate is looking like it isn't happening for me so looking to scout some long island spots to hopefully get a few morning and afternoon sits in. I'm trying to read the regs and am not sure if I am getting this correctly. Can you all help confirm my understanding or offer any advice to simplify this. - Any parking spot north of the LIE you need to check in at a station to get a reservation? This is for any public land listed on the DEC website. - Any parking spot spout of the LIE you are ok as long as you display your land access permit? - You cannot hunt a Suffolk county park unless you are a Suffolk resident? (Are there markers noting this as there looks like some parks but up to DEC land especially by Otis and the Pine Barrens. Any tips for someone who hasn't hunted the island ever? Seems like due to the limited parking and amount of people you would need to get there extremely early or is this not the case? I would hate to waste my time driving out thinking I'm going to get a few hours in a stand and get there with nowhere to park or plots of land already filled up with reservations. Any help is appreciated as I'm a little lost.

You Must Wear a Mask in public starting Friday
BKhunter replied to CharlieNY's topic in General Chit Chat
I wear one anytime I go into a store. No reason to chance it, especially with a pregnant wife at home. I think this will help slow the spread which I'm all for. I get the other side of the coin though. Freedom is Freedom. -
I think the funny thing here is that the strictest parts of the state don't require a safety course (i.e. NYC and Nassau), they just put you through the ringer and then say have at it. What a joke.

NY to Allow online Hunter education
BKhunter replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in General Chit Chat
Any idea if they will have this for the trapping classes? I've been trying to sign up for one for awhile now and they are always filled up or to far away from where I live. There are so few of them this online option would be great for them. -
Got a bad hit in a deer about an hour ago bumped him as I though he expired in the field but wasn’t the case. Do you think the meat will spoil over night? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No would buy off of amazon, but if I had the option to save some money I would. Basically the same price between the two sites.

Hey All, I just got done finishing the basement and built a small room for all my hunting and shooting gear (my man cave). I want to put in a corner bench unit to put a bow press and reloading press on. Any recommendations for a corner unit? Also how does everyone mount their presses to be able to remove them after they are done working do free the bench space back up? Thanks for any tips on what to do with the space. Pics below for reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone know anything about this camera? Am going on a trip to Thailand and wanted a good camera to remember this journey but also use for my hunting expeditions? Wanted to get through Costco due to their return policy in the event I don't like it. BK

Hey All, Anyone have a recommendation for a food dehydrator. I want something good quality that will last. BK

Dude that's awesome!!! This is one of the hunts I can't wait to go on one day solely for the meat. I had a buffalo rib eye in CO this year and hands down best steak I ever had. If you get one on the ground get as many cut that way as you can! Can't wait to hear the update come hunting season. Good Luck!!!!!

Hey All, I just moved to Long Island and planned to shoot the league at C&B archery this summer but just found out they closed. I used to shoot at Pro-line in queens, but I will never make it there on time after work. Any recommendations for another archery shop close to the Massapequa area that has a good league and is a good place to shoot? BK

I just like applying as in those states as it isn't to bad of a drive and I have a family member that lives up that day. I mean I hope to draw one of these days but moose isn't one of my bucket list animals.....YET. I'm sure as the years catch up to me I may start having to apply to NB.
