  1. So far they have not called back but I don't need it done right away.
  2. Thank you, I found that number myself and called right before your post, much appreciate your time and help.
  3. So Albany is the place to call? I have numbers on the card so perhaps it would be easy for them to look up.
  4. I don't think the place exist's anymore. It was a long time ago. You do need to show original safety certificates in Monmouth County, NJ in order to hunt the park system, but it is worth it, always get a doe or buck every year from there.
  5. When I applied for a County Park permit in NJ they wanted to see original safety certificates, I made copies but they wanted originals, I had them so no problem. An old license, even from another state is usually good enough proof for most states to issue a hunting license but I think there are some states that require seeing them for a non res license.
  6. I took my Hunter Ed and Bowhunters Safety courses' long ago, the late eighties I think. I still have both strips of paper ( thats what they are hand written on ) and they are in good shape BUT, if I ever lost them how can they be replaced? I'm sure now with computers new hunters are logged into the system. So my question is… If I brought in my old certificates ( someplace?) can I then be logged into the system for a future replacement if needed?
  7. One time many, many years ago I bought my license in a small hunting/ fishing store in the middle of the Adirondack's and all she had was the previous years color and she printed my new license on it. Later on that summer I was fishing the Delaware River and was approached by a warden in a canoe, he said that he was going to ticket me for wrong license, I showed the dates were correct and that I paid my yearly money to fish. He gave me a hard time but I kept laughing at him and saying I paid my money, finally a second warden came along to see what was happening and told the first guy to give me a break. So is it illegal? I can't see how if you paid, even back then when it was not DEC fault.

    Dang

Come to my place, me the mrs are trying to get rid of stuff. I'll give ya a real good price ;-)
  9. I was there for a month, if you REALLY love the outdoors go for it, it can be fun and you can always come back. Those small float or "bush" planes are like taxi's up there, I took them everywhere and not too expensive if your not going all that far.
  10. Great idea about the pics, I think I will do a "before and after" photo session. Hope the worms are working hard right now getting that skull cleaned, that may turn out to be the more difficult thing to do with the way the meat got dried out and hard.
  11. Wow wooly sounds like a miracle product. I can't really be spending money on a head that will just hang in my shed so I will try a walnut stain or maybe I should refer back to the photo I took at the time of killing him and try to match that color. Thanks for all the cool replies.
  12. I left my deer head hanging in a tree over the winter because critters kept digging up preventing the worms from doing my redneck euro. So now that I buried it again I will soon have my euro but the antlers have gotten white, not so sure I like it. I may want to use stain, I've heard it works well, any advice on this tactic?
  13. If it tastes alright then it's dinner, I would not do a mount only because I have no place to put it or care to spend the money. I euro my bucks by burying the head in the fall and digging it up in early summer. Doesn't cost me a nickel.
  14. I believe he said Vasectomy… not Castration!! Good luck with the procedure.
  15. I would leave him be, but I might try to find find the sheds, they have be around there somewhere.

    Squeaky Bow

I like reading the responses and then the reactions to them. You guy's should not be so hard on each other… but it is kinda funny to read.
  17. Congrats on an awesome hunt and great bull moose. So ahhh... what's for dinner for the next 48 months? lol
  18. Hope I see this big 8 again as his G2 & G3 tines are pretty long, he will be a sweet deer next season. Needs some mass but he's still young and his potential is there.
  19. Any day is a good day when strolling around with gun in hand, beats what I'll be doing.
  20. I hunt a Multiple Use Area or MUA and the sign at the entrance clearly says " No Permanent Treestands" so if leave my hang-on stand and climbing sticks there for one month am I allowed? It is not permanent, just temporary, am I legal, I think so.
  21. My new arrows are Black Eagle Rampage bought off Archerytalk. They are .001 straightness, I got bare shafts then cut and fletched them myself, I couldn't be happier. As previously mentioned proper spine is the biggest factor then to me it's FOC, good luck with your purchase, I'm sure your Easton's will be shooting perfectly for you, they make great arrows which I have shot for years.
  22. The Outlaw Josey Wales Lot of good one liners in this film… Dying ain't much of a living, Everytime I get to liking somebody they ain't around long---I noticed they ain't around long when you get to disliking them either.
