  1. Couldn't agree more about hometown saturday night racing, that's where you will find me all summer long. I have been to 2 Nascar races, both were free and also had special comp passes to meet drivers and go behind the wall. That was fun and the best way to see a race, I can't say nascar sucks. But I can't wait till my local track goes green in April.
  2. And why do they always SNEAK in other bills that ride along on the bigger bill. They always have thier own agenda.
  3. I want a few to play with. I read somewhere that they have been around awhile, but I first saw them on AT on a review of whats hot at the ATA show.
  4. Scary stuff, some peolple are pigs though, why dump your trash, guts, whatever, anyplace but in a proper receptacle? I just don't understand, it takes the same effort.
  5. Very nice, looks nice, enjoy it. My man cave is my shed, it's 28'X10' and full of tractors, plows, mowers, chainsaws, blowers but best of all my archery shop. I just need to move the wood stove from the barn to the shed and I'm good. No TV but I like to work with my hands so Im always doing something.
  6. I can not believe there are no race car fans, I prefer my local track saturday night racing but still enjoy some 200mph racing. Come on guys & gals join in and lets have some fun. Each week you pick the drivers you think will do well on that track on that day, it's that easy.
  7. I belong to the archerytalk group and NJHunter group, anyone interested we can start one here or I can post the details and you can join one of the others. YAHOO FANTASY NASCAR, start a team and then you can join in a group or just play every week to see how well you do.
  8. Yeah, I though I remember reading that they had made there way into NYS and were becoming a problem, glad they are not causing damage here.
  9. It's fairly simple, I do my own and have done it without fail many times. Some good instructions above just make sure its tight and has a burn ball on the ends to prevent it from coming apart.
  10. Lets see... from my membership dues I expect to be able to see the "secret pages" of this site, I belong to archerytalk, njhunter and a few others and they all let me see the secret pages they have. Can't wait, I'm paid in full and hear those secret pages are a hoot!
  11. Memories of my youth, hanging out in the parks. Juniper Valley, Frontera, New Park, Maurice Ave Park.
  12. Hey defrazzle, I grew up in Maspeth down by Brooklyn/ Queens border near Rust St. I went to Queens Vocational. Can I still go the adirondacks. lol
  13. Always wanted to do this, be nice to not have to travel down south where they are a major problem. I know they are considered an invasive, harmful species.
  14. Can you use your bow from your treestand. more fun and good practice. I always see tree rats when I'm in my stand, matter of fact, sometimes that's all I see :-(
  15. Really need to check out Pro Line since I'm in Queens already, work keeps me busy.
  16. indoor3d looks like a real great place, lots of fun, hope to make it there at least once this year, it's a haul though. I will try to find out about the Farmingdale place , hard to search on the net.
  17. Welcome, I'm a new member here as well. I live in NJ now but grew up in Queens, used to hunt Sullivan around Eldred area years ago. Always saw plenty of deer, some decent bucks. Plan on going back there this upcoming season in 2013. I always plan to but work keeps getting in the way. I shoot lots of doe ( 3 this season) in NJ with a buck the last 3 or 4 years.
  18. I can remember back in the '80's bow hunter success rate was 13% if I'm not mistaken.
  19. I've shot rabbits with my compund and a couple squirrels, I use either old broadheads on occasion but mostly judo with fieldpoints. I have not done it a lot as I rarely go small game.
  20. So what type of small game arrowhead do you use as there are many types out there. Everything from a blunt to FP w/ judo, to G5 heads and the list goes on. What do you use on what game and do you have a "one head does it all" or a favorite? Inquiring minds want to know, please.
  21. Just so I understand, a spring piston is not good in the cold but a nitro piston is. You guys think a nitro is better to be looking at and I should forget the spring. I dont know a lot about guns, I like archery more and have not shot my pistols or shotguns/rifles in a long time.
