We will again have the Habitat Seed Program that makes seed available to our members at an affordable cost and planted as a benefit to wildlife. It’s a great deal for plots and can be planted or broadcast. This is typically only for members in the following counties, Monroe, Livingston, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming. Other counties should reach out to a more local branch. The contacts for other branches can be found at https://www.qdma.com/new-york/ Glyphosate Resistant Soybeans are available for this program. The seed will be one-year old seed that will germinate fine for food plots. The retail cost of this seed is between $80-$100 a bag. It should plant about a half-acre per bag or could be stretched with the addition of other species. The cost of each bag of soybeans is $20 per bag. We've gone a a different supplier and trucking arrangements to avoid the issues COVID caused at the border last year. This caused an increase in the price but it's still a great bargain. The branch has agreed to take 200 bags and with my initial email to members, there are less that 80 bags unaccounted for. Pick up will be in the Rochester NY area on a Saturday to be determined once delivery is firmed up. There will only be one pick up window. Payment is cash or check at the pick up day. Please do not reserve beans if you can't make arrangements to get them. I can't order more. I know CENTRAL NEW YORK BRANCH (Syracuse), TWIN TIERS BRANCH (Horseheads) and NORTHERN FINGER LAKES BRANCH (Lyons) will have beans as well. See the link above for contacts in those areas. I would expect the Eastern NY branches will as well but I am not certain. Make sure you have a membership and PM me. Restrictions are the same as previous years. MUST have an active NDA membership This seed can NOT be sold, used for business purposes or harvested; it must be left for wildlife. A form will to be signed by each purchaser stating this intent.

I've heard prices averaging over $5. Is that what you are seeing? -

Tells me you are better off trapping muskrat and skunk...lol. Smart folks are holding fur and waiting for a bump. If you treated it like a commodity trading you would sit on what was low and then you would have it on hand when it goes up.....it always goes back up. -

This was PA last month -
Yes and I would spend that time considering how I would spend my legal settlement.

There is no doubt in my mind there is a registry. But it only encompasses the firearms bought through FFL's. It does not currently track the sales or previously "undocumented" (yeah that was on purpose) firearms that were sold by dealers prior tot he law requiring it and any subsequent sale between private citizens. This is a HUGE number of firearms and they really have no idea how many are really out there.

Have a great Day Dan, Happy Birthday!! -
I understand and my comments weren't personal or judging. I just like to gauge where people stand. I am sure we all have different tolerance levels. I am sure there would be some point where that it would be worth it for you. On the same coin but a different side though I also don't like to see those that have a far less tolerance level rerated either. Personally I think it will come to armed conflict in tis country. It might be far down the road but it has to come. There is no way we can maintain the "everything for free" culture. It isn't sustainable and when those that have come to expect and depend on the handouts lose them, I think it will the their side that draws the blood. That will not bare out well for them becasue of the amount of arms on the other side. I believe that is the real crux behind the lefts disdain for guns. It isn't about the gun violence.

I am just not a fan of perpetuating a falsehood or the left's name games. It has NOTHING to do with gun shows but they know it will come under much greater criticism if they say what they actually want to do. Ban private sales without background check. (like NY's safe act did). I find it odd that the left will say that having a voter ID card is too onerous and disproportionally targets and impacts the poor but they have no issue requiring the FFL transfer fees to sell a gun. Seems like that would have impact on the same groups.

SO if they took the route of say Australia and their gun control you would just comply? Could you demonstrate a "genuine need" like they have to there? How about any multiple shot firearm? comply? Hell since Australia is so far away let's just look at our ally of Great Britain. would you just "comply" if their system was adopted? How far would be too far for you?

you won't have a choice on this one. I haven't read the actual text but I think it only extends the wait period for the "no response/issue the gun" from 3 days to 10 days. You can still get the gun right way if the al clear is given but if you refuse to provide the ss# and have a name like James Smith, you may be waiting 10 days.

Maybe some hope

Would be A LOT different. There is no test like BAC to determine is someone is impaired. -
