I would encourage everyone to go take a look at these two new bills and write letters and send emails to you Representatives in support. They are bills to stiffen poaching laws, something NY is very behind on. Senate Bill Number S4727 Assembly Bill Number A7171

Two points. They are Canadians so the bar is low to start with And, we must have very different ideas of what a race riot is. I didn't see how the car got flipped but is seems the majority I see are more interested in taking pics for social media than looting, burning, throwing objects at cops and cinderblocks through moving first responder vehicles.

I hate to see a kid get discouraged as much as getting scared of shooting. Have you tried her on any shotguns? I love my 410 for bunnies but I have knocked feathers off pheasants and had them fly away with it. a 20 with low game loads to practice, a really good recoil pad on the stock and when on game she won't even notice if you put high brass loads in. IMO

I don't think any one is defending the shooter. The Safe Act has many more avenues than the previous laws to take his firearms. Prior, I think it took a felony conviction to remove the long guns. (not sure about non felony domestic threat) now, if he holds a pistol permit it not only goes but all other guns as well and that doesn't take a conviction.
-
As a side note, if the shooter was dumb enough to make that call to the neighbor he probably is dumb enough that he probably shouldn't be owning a gun.

in support of your argument, would you be willing to expand on the situation surrounding the 70% cut?

And that, my friend is how it is supposed to work. Your Mother gave you kids much more than food and shelter as proven by how you turned out. drive and a work ethic. I do, however believe the incidents of abuse are much higher than you are indicating. I am not only talking about outright fraud but a generational attitude that the system is their job. Take a stroll around any of NY's major cities during the day and see the able bodied folks just hanging out. In the position I have, we have lost 15 apprentices in skilled trades in the last two years alone. The reason for their resignations was because the work was just too hard. These are paid apprenticeships that pay start at 36k a year and at the end of 4 years they are making 70k (not counting overtime). so at 22 they could be making 70k but the work is too hard. In the current system an employer or even a taxpayer has no avenue to even report on an individual like this. To me if you walk away from an opportunity like the one I described you shouldn't get squat.

And back to my point. If it is sooooo great let's do it for everyone. Think of how stimulates the economy will be.

Ever swing into planned parenthood? Check it out and see what is paid for already

I am just trying to make a point so no one is disillusioned when an arrest isn't made for trespass on unposted, unimproved property. I agree with everything you said. however no ticket will be issued unless it is posted properly or you have given them proper notification of a previous trespass. on the gun comment. I carried a rifle or a shotgun before I had my permit. being in the woods with a long gun isn't a crime in itself. (Felons excluded)I think everyone here can agree that these two were hunting prior to the OP seeing them. Again though. walking through the woods even carrying a decoy, I don't think is an easy slam dunk for a conviction.

I think that is the key right there. Confronting a person with a violation, misdemeanor or even a felony could get out of control, I guess, I wouldn't think a person would shoot a cop for getting pulled over for a violation either. In any of these situations you just never really know the type of person you are dealing with.

Go get them. I bet they will be "known" by LEO's

Technically there was not an adult season. If they got a ticket I would have probably been for hunting out of season. and as far as"turkey shot" goes, I just use high brass #5's, same as show shoes and pheasants. It is a very good nuisance shot. My only point in posting on this was, if posted legally, the trespass might be the easiest way to take on the issue.
-
you can shot them with shotguns

#1 trespassing- if posted properly? #2 hunting out of season- k (can I have a gun on me while walking in the woods a week before deer season?) I wear my old camo up at camp for work clothes all the time and seem to always have a gun on me. Am I braking a law? I am not excusing them but looking at it from an enforcement side. What is #3?

Totally understand Grow. We all know what they were up to, Was asking to see what the options could be. We all know how easily some of the excuses can roll out to get out of a ticket and how frequently those poaching actually get busted. Was focusing more on an angle that takes any excuses and officers "discretion" out of it.

What happened to living within your means? How about the concept of having as many kids as you can afford?
-
If it helps that much why not have everyone go on it and not work? Then we would all be just rolling in money? right?
-
Welcome to the site. How long have you actually been hunting?

Is the property properly posted?
