  1. I would sure hope they could or the surveys that they commission through Cornell are really a waste of money
  2. I haven't seen anything in the law about denying a purchase based on quantity purchased. But if fact they really haven't said what they will do with the info. I would expect a "visit" if they felt you were massing a stockpile they feel is unjustified. Sad thing is they have no idea what people can actually use in a session at the Range.. My daughter and I went through 250 rounds in about 2 hours there with the pistols and rifles.
  3. Have you read it Geno? If any member on here or any gun owner doesn't understand what is really going on they should.
  4. Welcome Brandon. Those two areas are the toughest to get permission in. Knock on doors is the best bet and do a little leg work on the tax map site. Will allow you to see who owns it and the size of the property. It will be worth the work, there is a reason those areas are tough to find land to hunt in.
  5. I agree. First thread should be the roll call voting record of who votes for this
  6. Side note. A couple vets have told friends if mine to give them to their dogs because they are great chew toys. Good for their teeth
  7. Wow. Never saw where it was a drive. Were was that? The lay waste comment is a bit over the top don't you think? Why not follow up with how their fawns will grow up without parents or they will never have a chance to meet their true love?
  8. You are wrong. A steep angle is less likely to ricochet. A bullet fired at ground level is more likely. To keep it in simple terms,,,, ever skip rocks as a kid?
  9. Pure speculation but after reading posts made on this forum. I bet there are more deer wounded and lost by hunters that have an expectation that a hit deer is going to fold up in a nice little package for them.
  10. For those that have an issue worrying this guy couldn't know what wa in the background, you don't belong in the woods. It's open hardwoods. From a tree stand. Steep angle and they were freaking close. If you are not constantly aware of what is within that line if fire picture you should hang it up.
  11. I didn't mean any reference to gun laws. The fact is that area is a democratic strong hold and out numbers the rest of the state. That accounts for the poll numbers.
  12. The real key to shooting multiple deer in a running group is always shooting the doe first. Then the fawns stop and give you easier targets for the next ones
  13. You mean the couple pounds of stew meat up there? Lol. That is a great anchoring shot. Meat loss or not. There are properties I hunt where recovery rights on one side are an issue. I will take that shot over a broadside
  14. Where are you getting that from? I have read the safe act cover to cover and I didn't see cross state line possession even mentioned?
  15. A through the front shoulder at a quartering to deer with a shotgun at that range is perfectly acceptable.
  16. Could be one of the most important elections as gun owners there is. If you usually don't or never vote, you have to make the effort this year. And drag a friend that doesn't usually vote with you.
  17. My point is that every shot would fall into your category of unethical since every shot taken has the possibility to go wrong. There are a huge amount of variables. It may not be within your skill set but that doesn't make it unethical
  18. It has everything to do with it. His position is if you can't put it right down it is unethical
  19. Could be. I wouldn't believe anything out of Albany at this point. They don't even know what system they will be using since they got shut down on NICS for this. seems like a fee wouldn't be a stretch to fund setting up a system. Hope they don't call Obama for suggestions on a software/site developer.
  20. You never lost a deer or had one run off that you needed to track and finish?
  21. How many bow kills is that? And for the record if you do not take a shot unless there is 0 chance of it going poorly, may I suggest needlepoint instead.
