  1. I don't think there should be one dollar of tax payer money spent on the problem. Reduce the distance to the 250 or 150 and let the residents decide if they want to allow access to licensed hunters or wrap their property in wire.
  2. There is ethics and the law. Bubba hit it on the head. must be clear of any maintained portion. Could be even more than the ditch if there is a mowed area beyond the ditch that they maintain. Ethically a shot on to posted property (or even property you don't have permission to go on) would be wrong. I am not sure they could charge you to trespass for shooting on to that property but I believe there are violations for wanton waste for not making recover efforts they could hit you with.
  3. corner signs facing each direction and the max spacing is 660'
  4. Before anyone can really answer. What tags did you purchase and what have you already filled?
  5. You are right. Clueless. You got me. Let's change the topic to the most accurate broad head/arrow combination that is the most accurate to gut shoot and lose a deer
  6. Mine actually won't. I opted for the semi auto and best it will due is 1.5 MOA. But I have only carried it about 3 times in the last 5 years. I have seen 3 guns in my close circle that will do it. And we are talking factory ammo. Not hand loads as many sub MOA rifles are using. The component support just isn't there yet for shotguns. It is coming. Just curios. What part did I get wrong that you decides I didn't have a clue? Enlighten me
  7. Let me try this one last time. you have a .30-06 and you super special all custom 6mm. you take them to the bench at 100 yards and shoot a 3 shot group basically holes in a hole. which one of those rifles if more accurate?
  8. Pistol, I have tried, You sir are an idiot.
  9. I probably didn't phrase that correctly. I meant from a "commercial" butcher. I think all in all they don't take the time and care that you would with your own. I know of a few guys that used to cut deer. If you said you didn't want ground and only stew you got only stew. but what would have been your ground got tossed in the community grinding. hearing their stories is what made me start to do my own.
  10. Just curious. how the yield was on your deer? how mush meat did you end up with out of what sized deer?
  11. Is the chopped meat ground or like a cube steak? I don't think I have ever seen a deer processed with no ground
  12. A size 12 loafer. The other one from the set that Pistol stuck in his mouth.
  13. I agree Doc, Amazing any of us walk out with our lives every year. Even with all those old pumpkin ball throwers I remember the shotgun zones racking up the Lion's share of the harvest every year. We probably could have done better if we just threw the guns at the deer rather than shooting them.
  14. Not arguing Pistol. Thought we were having a conversation. Or trying to at least. I was just trying to understand how one bullseye can be rated better than another.
  15. I wouldn't get the vented but it you ever had a spill you could just pop out that area and put them back. I think the vented would get to much crap in there.
  16. Hmmm. Why? because in many areas of the state a rifle still can not be used.
  17. I can see you just can't grasp what is being put forth. what difference does it really make if the bullseye is covered by a .5" hole or a .22", 6mm, 7mm, .30" ........ sized hole? You really act like there are only a hand full of shotguns out there capable of this accuracy. I know you say you have done a lot of shooting. How much shooting have you done with a shotgun?
  18. Steve's first post you responded to was out to 100 yards.
  19. I hunted this weekend with no gloves on. If I did they were thin jersey material that I used during Bow season. The only reason I can do this is using a hand muff. I have had one for 6 years and it was the best money I have spent on hunting gear. I have never had cold hands using it and no bulky gloves. The one I have is neoprene so it is water proof.
  20. Many do not realize that. They view an accurate shotgun as a fluke. To the contrary, modern shotguns with modern optics and mounts. When set up with the same care as a percussion rifle are hole cutters
