VIDEO: Windy Winter Bow Hunt In The Snow

I have heard NC and SC tossed around as well as Texas. I can't remember which state but I think years back they moved some of their manufacturing and R&D out of state to Ky or Tn or NC. I also thought some of thier wood products were already made out of state. If it does stay around and you all are down that way their little Museum in the Ilion Plant is worth a look see. (Oh and it it pronounce ill-e-un.....lol)

Most of the formal announcements I have read said they would not sell police of Govt anything that the normal citizen couldn't buy under the new law. If they want to buy something like a Kahr CW 9 mm that holds 7 in the mag, they will sell it but not a pistol that we can't buy. It is basically a token gesture unles we get major manufacturers to follow suit. When the smoke clears I, for one, will be more likely to purchase from a maker that stood with us than one that remained silent or said they wouldn't stand with us.

Best Pistol for Deer Hunting in NY?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Deer Hunting
I have shot both. I don't have any porting so i don't notice any excessive blow back through the porting between the two. I can imagine that with a 15" barrel or shorter there may be "unused" gas for propelling the bullet since they are designed for a longer barrel but that isn't a big deal. I would be more concerned with matching tthe bullet weight to the twist of the barrel and if you grouping is good....call it a win. -

Under 16" is the legal standard I believe. but only if mounted in a rifle configuration. In a pistol configuration I do not believe there is a maximum -

The difference is that is is only a chargable offense the first time if it IS legally posted. I have had guys tell me while standing on our that they are the cousins of the owner. They were at a loss for words when I informed them that we must be related the....lol. Of course up in that neck of the woods most folks are related.

it is a 15" barrel. I am shooting 130gr reduced recoil hand loads but I have shot factory ammo through it. Factory is perfectly fine for hunting but I (tio be honest) was chicken to sit at the range and throw 20 rounds down the pipe with full factory ammo and I worried about flinching. It is a kitten to shoot becasue it is NOT light. I ahve shot a box of 50 of my hand loads in one afternoon and never got the slightest bit sore. -
Predate. you are giving the ones against this wayyyyyyyyy too much credit. You can stand on a soapbox and provide 1,000's of cases that fly in the face of what they wrote...THEY DON"T CARE!!!! They get the press. they will not have their emotional reactions clouded by facts. The same reason they are going after the "assault rifles" first. they are less than 3% of the firearms deaths. It the saftey they claim is their true goal they should be taking on pistols first. That is why they are focusing on running animals with dogs. They can paint a much more disdusting picture that will get eh publics attention....true or not. And an argument to the contrary will get no press. Your predator style of hunting isn't going anywhere. Predator hunting 9trapping) is needed just like deer hunting is needed. If anything is on the block the hound hunting could be.

POLL: Whats your Favorite turkey call
Culvercreek hunt club replied to josephmrtn's topic in Turkey Hunting
I have a box call and crow call for locator. I use a synthetic slate call..(Thunder dome) for most calling and finish off with a diaphram mouth call.
