  1. The way I read NY's comment....having to live like that could take all the fun out of what we enjoy....and if the neighbors are that unsafe and so many incidents....you really start to think of your life vs the pursuit of a hobby...
  2. And I would be willing to bet if you brought a camera with you and got photo evidence of these trespassers the ECO's wouldn't be able to turn a blind eye on them....there job could depend on it. You have a right to hunt on your posted property without those worries and if they won't prosecute...they should go.
  3. I wasn't saying that you used the over the mountain comment...that was mine. I was just questioning how the use of a crossbow would cause you any more problems than you have now. By your comments you have these issues during bow anyway so how would it be any different
  4. I think that is a great idea. I am egarly awaiting delivery of my reloading equipment....I don't have anything to contribute on the giving end but should would be interested in items for working up my first loads.
  5. I abetting when full inclusion does happen the NYB boys will be standing there with full open arms trying to welcome all the crossbow hunters they lobbied against....and their dues money of course
  6. LOL...you are opened mined and forward thinking if you fall in line with their veiws...if you stick to your beliefs and do not adopt theirs you are a caveman...uneducated...unenlightened ...and oh the list goes on. THey don't seem to mind sticking to their beliefs though and seem to really take offense when their immobility in their views are questioned
  7. one could make an argument on the opposite as well...someones lack of any religious belief and corresponding moral guide lines could negatively inpact their ability for reason (so anti religion that they are not tolerent of others who believe). They could ...could...could. It is not a guarantee either way. Any religion and the moral guides that accompany them (not talking obout the radical view and perversions that have taken place) are not a bad thing. The total rejection of religion and the moral decay of many aspects of this country has directly coincided with the decrease in popularity of the organized religions.
  8. Their religious beliefs form their character and define their moral fiber. It is their beliefs.....and those beliefs frame their leanings in the political arena. There is nothing wrong with it....identify the ones that are most closely aligned with you beliefs and that you believe will follow through in their promises and that is the candidate you vote for. I want a candidate that holds certain principles and values . those are the candidates I support. Regardless of your assertions it is a component of a political candidate. a candidate that runs on a platform of no religious leanings....a declared atheist.....may attract voters that are like minded. I can't think of an atheist that has been elected to a major office in this country though...must be the people really don't have as big of an issue with religious views forming political leanings as you do
  9. I think it should have been "She"...I think Definitely....crossbow hunters are girls. Might want to keep that one to yourself if you go out of state hunting...lol. either that or make sure you eat your spinach.....the deliverence movie come to mind...they might love to show you how girly they are ;)
  10. Either that or from "Down State" ! : Isn't that what Antler just said...lol
  11. Then let the other countries they belong too pay for and contribute to them.
  12. I read...re-read and read again. reading your posts is like tearing every other page out of a novel and trying to understand it.. you think the woods near you is crawling with hunters that are dangerous with their guns and can't hit crap...so again...how would this change if they had crossbows....if they are that bad you stand a heck of a lot better chance getting hit from a bullet. Do you think a bolt is going to go flying over the mountain? I don't see how anyone hunting in your area with a crossbow would cause any safety concern for you on your property. If you were hunting state land mixed with all these "dangerous people" I could understand your concern
  13. Yup......big deal. I shot 4 times at a buck the first year I got my Bowtech. Whole new set up....20 yards and shot all 4 of my arrows in my quiver at him. You talk about practice being engrained in your head until it is second nature....well that cost me a good buck. See the new sights had a bigger diameter red pin at the top and I set it at 20 yards.....the 40 yard pin was green......some of you probably guessed it...my old set up had a green 20 yard pin and I shot 4 arrows over his back and into the bank on the other side of the creek. I really don't think I could have done that with a crossbow because of the noise...but I probably would have had a crosshair and it wouldn't have been an issue ...I kept moving slow and knocking a new arrow and got more frustrated each shot. I was dead on practiced out to 45 yards and could figure what I was doing wrong. I go thome and threw all 4 arrows dead on bullseye into the target at 20 and then it dawned on me like a falling anvil.
  14. iff all the people near you gun and bow hunt how would it put more people in the woods near you?...and if they are that poor of a shot with a gun and that dangerous with a gun it couldn't be any worse with a crossbow? I must not be understanding what you tried to say.
  15. If he doesnt have the huntsmanship, he wont last very long and will have a nice used crossbow for sale in a couple of years. and to be honest he could have and archery/ml tag and fill both with the ml and never pick up a bow/crossbow
  16. I just see it as this....what can you possibly take away from some one that has nothing. boycott their shipments of electronics...lol. you really can't threaten to beat them back to the stone age....many of them are living that way already.
  17. Arrow, so I clearly understand you....you are saying that a bow hunter is a better hunnter than a gun hunter because of the implement they use
  18. only one cure and that is the application of the appropriate amount of radiation . The American public does not have the stomach to do what it takes to beat back this threat. Until you are willing to instil more terror in them than they can in us they will not go away. There is little deterrant for their mindset
  19. I still feel that anyone who supports crossbows is too lazy to learn to learn how to bowhunt. So let me get this straight out of your purely emotional reply......since I support the inclusion of crossbow in archery season for others but do not intend on using one....that makes me to lazy?
  20. Well I do have an issue paying taxes as they are structured now. I believe the feds overstep their application. I can understand taxes to fund services such as infrastructure...military...epa and things that stretch across state lines. I believe a lot of what the fed dips their hands into should be handled on the state level and no money should be directed to charity concerns....ie welfare…i should be the only one that has the input on where my contributions are spent. We are paying so many layers of multiple taxes it isn't even funny
  21. Last year we had 6 employees that provided the correct documentation. We called the info in to the Feds like we are suppose to. We got confirmation the info was consistent with their records....6 months later we started to receive calls from the peoples who's actual info it was since we reported income from our company. They never worked for us. Their identities had been stolen. We contacted the feds and they said to fire the illegals...didn't even want any info on them or come over to pick them up. Bottom line...our laws need to be enforced. That is the only way to stop this
  22. You are joking aren't you?...LOL. I think the whole upstate is getting it right now. we are probably 10" deep of new stuff in Rochester right now . I can send you some if you like
