U can apply a light layer of peanut butter on them and have the dogs clean em off. That method does a great job of relieving the old balls of their rust, and makes em look and feel shiny and new..... so I've heard Smooth. It must be smooth peanut butter Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Looks like u have a serious jackelope on the kill list for next year!! Gotta be at least a 12yr old Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Sad to see her go, but love to watch her leave. I'd be ok with big Jim as my FIL, or my mistresses dad Biz, seriously!?! You rate her a six, but in the words of Fred bear if you rate your women by numbers, oh wait, what was it!??? Whatever. Guess numbers is the topic of the post, so I get it. What exactly are you measuring to get a 6 though? Inches between the rack ? I So your saying she's equal to a yearling with two 3" spikes ? I'm lost.... And headed way off track. Surrounded by a bunch of tough guys !! Ha. It wasn't a call out at all fellas. Just stating the facts that a 60#er will be more than enough for whitetail. As far as elk and speed goats @80yrds.... I was stuck in the mindset of wny deer. Obviously the numbers improve as poundage goes up (typically) but that's like me telling you ( a 30-06 guy ) that shooting a 50bmg is better... At any rate,on of my main reasons to stay at 60# is not cause I'm a wuss it's for those long sits in freezing temps. Sometimes that 60# can feel like 80#. Also, bending and twisting in a tree, cramped in a blind or spot and stalk to bow range are all more reasons to have less poundage for a smoother and easier draw. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I laugh when people mention draw weight. Who needs a. 70# bow...?? Look at the speeds of 50 and 60# bows. Look at KE.... Seems it's a "tough guy" thing. My skinny a$$ is fine @60# !! I believe Ted Nugent is always mentioning his Mathews is at 45# and he kills everything. Don't feel like your losing anything when shedding #'s

Ditto for my 14' buck. I still have the paperwork for nysbbc and p&y. No number describes that hunt.

Worth every step. Nice bone pile !!

The only downside to kioti or tym or any of the "other" brands is resale and parts availability in say 10-20 years. If your gonna keep it forever, no biggie on resale but parts might be an issue. If your gonna keep it 5 years resale will hurt but parts aren't a problem. You may invest more cash up front for Kubota or Deere but you will hold your value and NEVER lose money. I sold my 79' for only a few hundred less than what it sold for new. It also worked hard and earned it's keep for 36 years !! Can't beat that ! The only other thing I have heard but not confirmed is the frame dimensions and durability. I believe that the frame thickness is much larger on Kubota, as well as axle sizes etc. They are definitely more money, but it is mostly justifiable. Again, just my .02. If your sold on kioti than grab one ! If this is your first tractor I would say go used so you save some scratch and get a feel for what you actually need then make the plunge on a new rig when you want. Granted, a 50hp is prob gonna do everything you can think of...

Eh. I can't read anyways,so what's the difference ! Well, I take that back, I'm purdy good at reading if there are lots of pics...

Mine is bigger. Just sayin

Slow cook with peppers and onions. Goes great on a kimawick roll with some horsey or Weber's mustard.
-
Great pro shop. All good people there ! Enjoy the new rig

Wait !!! There's so much more to argue about !

Come on, really !!?!

Wasn't able to get the longbeards but snagged a pic of a few Jake's crossing the driveway. Total flock is around 30. May 1 here I come !!

That's a good rig ! If you intend on being in the woods use caution on a rig that size. Especially if it has a loader. Can get tight between the trees. If loader is an easy off you should be good to go. That rig will run any hog or tiller and would even pull a 3 bottom with ease. Buy it !
-
So are you in the market for a rig ? What's your plans ?
-
He did his research. Can he spend less, yes. He is obviously comfortable with that budget. Can he get a way nicer/better/more accurate for the money ? No

Also, don't make the mistake I did and take anybody's word on industrial (r4 ) tires. If your only pulling a finish mower on your lawn they are prob great, if you encounter mud, woods, snow, hills etc get AG's !! This was my first tractor with that style tire, and after a short month of owning tractor I already got AG's. Needless to say, R4's "may" work for some people... Not me. Hogging, firewood, tilling, food plots etc. I'll take AG's anyday!

On my second Kubota. Have also owned a Ford and a Yanmar. I'm hooked on the brand. Great resale, great quality. Do your research on models. Good dealers are easy to find. For hoggin pay close attention to PTO HP !! Especially with a HST

Solution for all the whiny gun hunters out there
TreeGuy replied to beachpeaz's topic in Bow Hunting
Well, he is a step ahead of me !! Last time I did this I got full draw on a big bodied spike and forgot to flip up my scope caps... When I let down he caught movement and ran off. Ruined my season. At least he is showing the proper technique and form. -
S&S taxidermy in Springville. Give them a call. They usually have a bunch of used bows there. Mathews and Elite dealer.
