Dumbfounded that 3 days ago ( not hunting) i had 8+ deer in the good plot, today i only left the stand for 30 min anf i saw nothing!!! What gives! This handfull of tags is not looking tasty

Both eyes always open. I keep the sights on them from the get go- when its time or clear, i shoot, i will take a reasonable running shot, reasonable means to me, within 60ish yards and a wide open shooting area, and the deer is broadside. Lots of practice in the off season/ clay birds/ crow hunting etc. Ive done it countless times with no issues. With the scope i wont do a running shot, even with both eyes open it is too difficult to maintain sight on deer and perfect scope picture. As far as scoped, i use more of the find a hole and wait tactic.

Going into a bedding area this a.m.with a 12ga,a chair and high hopes, oddly enough the wing is perfect... hope i dont see tails!!!!

I would like to know the weight of lead stuck in the dirt in the sz... prob similar to the weight of carcass's.

So. My dad called him and long story short, the guy said they are right and he has a tagging system for the capes/ antlers. Hes wrong, i know it. Pics dont lie. My dad just gave me the go-ahead to call him and have him look at the pics compared to mounts. I handle things differently than my ole man so it took some convincing. Ill be calling him before season is over to get this figured out.... ill keep u posted. U guys are right to, this has tainted my memorys forever and cant change it, sux!

Might as well get a 50cal barrett with that attitude! I wont spin anything... show me real life experiences of well placed shots with a 223 that did NOT kill a deer, and ill believe u. For now, i use a 6mm and have no problems killing deer, quickly and with one shot. Never lost one yet.

Man, u guys wont let me have any fun! I tell people that all the time, and they love seeing the logs in the woods, kinda gives them hope about " bucks " being around. I feel if they read this its like telling a 5 year old there is no santa. Jerks

I love talking poop.... or so ive been told, lol. Seriously though, a bit of scat science, a doe drops pellets and bucks drop wads of pellets all stuck together. Its just some crap ive learned over the years.

Hay like shape or hay like color? Could be the very rare shitsah berry. Same family as the southern dingle. I agree with the others, tasting is the only way to solve. If it is a shistah there are plenty of recipes online. They are great pan seared with maple syrup!

Thats why god invented rain gear and treestands with roofs.... ill be taking advantage of both ! c u out there!
