  1. Buddy used to go all the time. He always saw a lot and took a nice 8 pt one year. From what he said it is very thick and they hunted mostly roads waiting for deer to cross or down by the water.
  2. My brother-in-law making "Marks March Madness" syrup.
  3. Thinking of you and the family Jordan. Hospice is peace and that is where she will be soon.
  4. Seems like he had a nice life, sorry for the loss.
  5. My first place was in Roscoe and it was owned by three of us. It's great for a while but life changes and you have to adjust. One guy never used the place, I wanted to sell and the last guy was stuck because he loved it but could not afford it on his own. It worked out in the end but did cause some bad blood along the way.
  6. My place in Steuben county. I have owned it for 7 years now and it has brought so many great memories. Bought the land 7 years ago and built the cabin a year after that.
  7. Here is the youtube link. Doc you have to see it, little girls is amazing!!

  9. Long Island gun season. Liberal amount of doe tags available.
  10. I thought the same thing. Might of been a family emergency Or something happened to the hunter. I hope that was the situation, why leave the tags on the deer.
  11. These two deer were found by a shed hunter a few days ago. No story behind it, just left with tags on them in the woods to rot. Would love to know the story behind it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152269505605351&set=pcb.785074281504633&type=1&theater
  12. Huntington station one rough town…………..

  16. I remember that story, so exciting!! You get him back from taxidermist?
  17. At the end of the video you only see one other snowmobile.
  18. http://clashdaily.com/2014/02/wicked-snow-mobiler-shoots-kills-attacking-moose-glock-graphic-video/#uDLhaZuXlx1Sfx4S.99 I think the guy pushes the moose a bit too much. Thought this could of been dealt with in another way. What do you guys think??
  19. Power company will come through every 7 years. It is actually outsources the trimming to another company. They will try to get in touch with you before they spray or cut. I lease a field to a farmer that goes under the power lines, they do not bother with that area. Any trees that start growing to big or tall will be cut and vegetation sprayed. They did a number on the corner of my property this year. Cut right up to one of my tree stands.
  20. Glad to hear it is used everywhere. You would think they would come running……..
  21. So people are complaining about the amount of deer they are seeing on the roads on eastern Long Island. Car deer collisions are a commonplace in some of these small towns. Do you know there is an organic sugar beet farm out east that coats road salt with a blend of sugar beet juice and molasses. They claim it slows down the breakdown of the salt which works better on iced roads. Some towns out east are buying and using this product on the roads. Now do you see where I'm going?????? My brother called the DEC last night in Stonybrook and talked to an agent there. They were flawed to hear this and promised my brother it would be looked into. Now we know deer love salt and sugar beets but to coat it with a sugary substance is just asking for trouble. How many towns use this, I don't know. I'll be interested to see what comes of this.
