  1. Thanks Faigame, Bigbuck we have the same layout! Bath is behind the kitchen. We heat with a gas stove which does a nice job but I have an electric heater in the bath when it gets real cold, below 20 with wind. All the plumbing is back there and I had the cold water line freeze one night. I sent you a message about the plumbing check it out.
  2. Something you will always remember. I had help too and I never forget the ones at hunting season, they get first pick at stands. It also was a great way to meet people of the community and give them business. I just love the place and the town it is in!
  3. If you look closer in Photoshop most of the left ear is missing, oops!
  4. Here are some interior picts. Kitchen and floor was custom made by a local guy, Floor is ash and cabinets hickory. Ceiling and walls are shiplap which was very affordable. It took about 2 yrs to finish well worth the wait.
  5. I disagree. Only the hunter knows!!!!!!!!
  6. I've been retouching for 25 years and there are some questionable shadows, breaks in the antlers and like Steve said the lineup isn't correct on the right arm. The give away I see is the size of the right beam, the head isn't turned enough for that thing to be sticking out so far front.
  7. Sure, I was lucky only had to put in two poles. My neighbor who is the only full time resident on the road is very close. I can't see his place but where the lines come in it only took two poles to get me electric.
  8. My place is on the grid. Had the lines put in underground. REA electric cost me about 55 bucks a month, can't beat it. We have a well at 170'. It was dream of mine to have a place like this and it finally came true. On the far side where you can't see there is a 14x20 shed that looks just like the cabin!
  9. Three00rum, Don't let one person sway you onto leaving. There is alot of good information on this board and yours is welcomed. You have to have some thicker skin with some of the members here, don't let it get to you.
  10. Enduro, Nice pictures the place is great. Is it 20x24? That is what my place is (here is a picture.) Did you do a loft? I have a loft above the kitchen and bedroom, best thing I ever did. Makes the inside much bigger. Good luck. I have interior picts of my place if you would like to see. Did the whole place in shiplap and had the floor and kitchen, bath cabinets custom made by a local guy.
  11. I hit one in the blade years ago. Bent the arrow and had small amount of blood on the arrow. I did see the deer bed down, I gave the deer plenty of time when I came back he bolted running with no problems. In his bed was a small puddle of blood.
  12. I've been in 10' stands and 20' stands. Motion and the breakup on you camo is keen. Don't look into the deers eyes either or you'll be busted.
  13. Hey my neighbor has a full body mount of a piebald he got years ago, looks great. Something to consider.
  14. Food is huge in developing a big buck, along with mineral content............period!
  15. Nice deer! I would like to know what does everyone envision after AR's are in place??? I won't be like the TV shows your seeing, the mineral content in the soil is not the same as the midwest. Can we just hunt and enjoy?
  16. Hey you may want to try across the field. I had a big 9ptr cross a field after I stuck him in the liver. Deer was bedded when I jumped him and he could of stayed in the woods or cross the field, he took the field. It's worth a shot, I found my deer hours later with the help of crows, yes crows, they were pecking at the dead deer making a huge amount of noise. Good luck!
  17. Great deer guys-Potter that is one great video!!!!!!! Way to go Pop!
  18. Great video, yup he should be on the list-good luck!
  19. In Steuben county some 2.5 year old bucks have some heavy gear, so yes I will!
  20. I'm over in Steuben and still have corn up but we are seeing lots of sign. Rubs and scrapes.
  21. I think in taking baby steps the one buck rule would a good start. I would agree to that.
