I was told they change color when we get close to snow. I found a dead white on in my shed.

I'm sure they will do a lot more in the cooler night temps. But to say it shuts off completely, like some people say is wrong. Buck catches scent of a doe he is investigating. I shouldn't of said they don't care. Looks like we have some good hunting coming up, good luck!

Had two big bucks chasing a doe this morning at 8. It was 60 degrees out. They don't care.

I'm catching a world of shit for this one. As you know I missed that giant buck last week. Since then I have run into a few really nice bucks. I have passed on them hoping to get a shot at the big one again. This guy was hard to pass this morning but I did. Had a spike pissing around with him also. Had him 10 yards broadway! Nice 2.5 year old. If you double click on the youtube video it enlarges the video, fyi. Back at it this afternoon. FL

Slight south wind 40's out. Feeling good. Most of the day they will be installing the metal roof on my house so I'll try to stay out as much as possible. lol

The house gets a new metal roof tomorrow. The barn needs some finish work and grading. Should be done by Friday. I installed the water lines and electric. Upstairs will be finished for guests. It's beautiful. Unbelievable view from up top. Here are some pictures. I ordered a nice metal sign to thank my parents for this gift. May the be a part of it in Heaven!

Last two day I saw a few bucks and doe. Jumped a big one bedded with a doe. Shooter for sure. Cool incident yesterday morning. Biggest flock of Turkey Ive seen in a long time. A fisherCat came through and stirred up the Turkeys that were rooted or coming of of roost. He heads my way and sets up in some thick brush. The flock of Turkey start coming my way. Im saying he is going to catch one. The flock was about 25. They get to me and start scratching all around some drifting off too far. This one bird is heading right for the Fisher. Closing the distance the bird is warned by one of the older hens. I see these hens watching out for the group by jumping up on logs and looking around. She must of saw movement and sounded the alarm. The woods lit up with Turkey chatter and the Fisher took off. It was pretty cool. Turkey 1 Fisher 0!

No wind 28 degrees. Headed out in a bit. Warm temps coming in I may take a few mornings off, this hunting everyday beats the shit out of me....lol

I passed on that nice 8 pt two days ago hoping for something bigger. Had a mishap last night with a much larger buck which would of been my biggest bow buck. Ok so I head out this morning. Great morning for sure . In stand and look up to my food plots and see a giant buck. Biggest deer of my life. He starts walking through the plot and hits one of my logging roads. I see him messing with a rub but I hear another deer. It's a doe headed right for me. That is what he was following she turns and heads east 20 yards below me. I'm ready the buck starts to move and does the same thing. I'm full dram for about a half minute I need two more steps. He commits and the arrow flys right under him. I feel like my follow through sucked and I dropped the bow. She ran for a ways back to food plots and he trotted off after her. I don't think he was spooked. My brother has a 140 buck mounted at my cabin. This deer was much bigger. You probably think I was crazy but I think it might push 160. Rack has 10 perfect point that are long, has mass and spread. I'll call him the "once in a life time buck" he was that big. I hung for another 2 hrs and had two more bucks chasing does. Here is a video of a small guy chasing. BTW in the video you see a small creek. The buck I missed was on the side closest to me. I'm frustrated at myself for these screw ups. I guess it's what keeps us coming back. Be safe guys, Bucks are on their feet!

So I let that 8 pt walk last night. Go to the same stand 4:00. Put out a wick of Golden Estorous. 10 minutes later a shooter comes walking in the same way the 8 pt did last night. Stops 20 yards behind a tree I draw and my finger hits the release. Arrow flies out at 1/4 draw bangs against a tree. He stops knows something is up and drifts off. Wish video was better but he was a big one. Way outside his ears when walking away.

Hey ended up getting 5g TMobile router. It is awesome for internet and tv. $45 bucks per month them my personal subscriptions to channels.

Had this 8 pt come by at 4:45. Real nice buck as wide as his ears just too small not enough mass. He will be awsome next year if he makes it. Also had a buck grunting and trashing some trees in the brush by me. This weekend should be good!

9WT for sure Orvis reel is nice. That was my set up years ago. Caught many Bluefish and Bonito on it. Hell of a fight. Have fun!

Thank you. I do see diagonal wood braces non the wall. I will question it for sure.
