Great story and great buck. That shed looks like it is in really good shape from last winter
-
That stinks but based on the description of where you hit him he could live. My brother shot a buck two years ago that looked normal but when I was dressIng him I found a broken arrow and broad head between the stomach and spine. There was all tissue grown around the arrow. It is amazing how tough these animals are.

Romney tried to explain this basis economic concept to Obama three times, but I guess you could not grasp either. When you lower taxes for EVERYONE (including small businesses and Corporations which account for most jobs in the US), it stimulates the economy, pushes hiring, creates jobs, and therefore leads to more people paying taxes and therefore more tax revenue. So yes he is lowering tax rates, but it will ultimately increase tax revenue. Obama has no concept of economics, so he was unable to grasp this idea and kept repeating the same thing that the math doesn't add up. -

Obama lost so the only thing that his campaign can do is spin it around that Romeny lied, it was the moderators fault, Romeny spoke out of turn, etc. Actually it shouldn't be surprising given that the last four years have been excuses and blame. The posts above are literally the same talking points that the Obama campaign thugs have been stating all day. What else can they say though? -

To state that Obama doesn't lie is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard. -
I believe this to be true. I have noticed that many times when I am just strolling my property in the offseason I can walk within 20-30 yards of deer without them taking off. I usually pretend that I don't see them and try to avoid eye contact. Very often they just stand there and stare and just let you walk by. Its almost as if they can sense that you are not in "hunting mode" and are out to cause them no harm at that time. On the other hand, many times when I am hunting from my treestand they have appeared frazzled for no reason, and I know that they did not wind me. Very interesting topic.

Would a Red Ryder BB gun be illegal in NYC?

One of the areas that I hunt - 4R will have ARs for the first year this year. My dad, brother, and I let spikes and 4 pointers walk anyway, but it will be interesting to see if we start encountering larger bucks the next few years.

@$%&! Drivers License Renewal Fees!
joe12 replied to 13BVET's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
if you live in an area serviced by the MTA, there are all kinds of taxes levied to support it - whether you use the buses or trains or not. In addition to the drivers license taxes, there is an MTA payroll tax that every employer in the area has to pay. Just another taxpayer fleecing by the rip-off liberal capital of the world! -

did you get 3M or 3P? If you are hunting Sterling you can't use 3M there, you have to use 3P. -

Also, you should def. look into hunting west point. You are a vet so I believe that you would have access. From LI, it isn't much farther than Sterling Forest. I never hunted there but people have told me that there are a ton of deer, and I would guess that it wouldn't be as crowded as Sterling. Not sure what you have to do to get a permit etc.
