Found my first shed of the season in orange county(3m). Nice little forked horn 6pt. Had some solid mass for a 1.5 year old. Should be a decent buck next year. Found this in a high traffic bedding area.

Once again, its the do as I say, not as I do president. He said that armed guards would not be useful to protect our children, but he feels the need to be surrounded by armed security guards for the rest of his life. Again, if guns don't provide adequate protection, why are his secret service agents armed???? http://www.infowars.com/obama-signs-bill-giving-him-armed-protection-for-life/

he better be charged, but somehow I feel that the double standard will once again show its ugly head. Its ok for the President, Hollywood, and the media elites, but not for us irresponsible hicks. -

I saw two bucks this past weekend each with only one antler in orange county. Looks like they are starting to drop them.

still stand by your original consdescending post here Sogaard? It was real funny then, but doesn't seem so funny or out of the question now right? Keep your head in the sand. -
Detachable magazines
joe12 replied to the blur's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Exactly - it is part of their longer term strategy towards a complete disarming of the American people. Once they ban ARs and whatever "assault rifles" they determine to be the most dangerous, it will soon become clear that there is no reduction in violent crimes. They will then decide that all semi autos are the problem and they will need to be banned. The process will repeat until we are allowed single shot guns and then they will seek to ban those as well. This is why we cannot waiver an inch. -
those antlers have some serious mass.

One piece of good news
joe12 replied to joe12's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
even if these radical gun laws are not passed, they will pass some restrictions like limits on magazines over 10 rounds. It will be very gradual. We all know that these laws will have no impact on violent crime or murder so they will then push for the next batch of guns to ban. It will be gradual over time, but before you know if we will be limited to single shot break barrels. Just look at this countries slow transition to entitlements. Little by little they keep giving out and promising more and more, and before you know it some people make more money being on the government cheese then actually going out and working. -

One piece of good news
joe12 replied to joe12's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Sogaard - read the proposed NYS law that was posted in the forum earlier today. It seems to deem most semi-auto rifles "assault rifles". -
http://washingtonexaminer.com/nra-warns-of-more-fights-after-illinois-win/article/2517558#.UObsgW_AexV So Illinois tabled a proposed law that would ban ALL semi-automatic weapons due to lack of support/votes. Hopefuly NYS does the same with the radical gun laws proposed recently.

PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT SUCH TERM DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY WEAPON THAT HAS BEEN RENDERED PERMANENTLY INOPERABLE. Anybody pick up on this little nugget as well. In addition to the weapons defined in their list, the law would give the superindentent of state police the authority to deem any other weapon an assault rifle. This means that further laws would not even need to be passed. The state police superintendent could decide that revolvers or lever actions are not for "sporting purposes" and designate them as assault rifles as well.
