keep going if you have a bleet or a grunt call use it lightly get to the stand. I have had deer spook run away blowing till i couldnt hear them any more then come blowing right back to where they were spooked from to check out what it was that scared them and shot them

wood heat is the best because it will heat you more then once some of you are thinking no way let me show you 1 when you cut and load it 2 you unload and stack it 3 you bring it to the house 4 you burn it in the stove and 5 when you clean the ashes and the smoke stack lol we have had a Nasua stove in the house for years best $ 500 ever spent its an older stove late 70s and is air tight to this day last 18 to 20 hours when they had the add on tv they would toss a stick of dynamite in them and close the door the guy would say so you think your stove is tuff

Sounds like you are doing some things right Vince as was stated in some of the other posts deer move early in the am and closer to sun down 10 am getting in the stand is a litte late for my area about an hour or so before sunrise most of my kills hapen just as the shooting time is upon me dont pack to much as you will get tired just going to and from the site I do some hunting up north and in maine the best things to take with you are one good gutting knife in a sheth not rapped in a bandana if you slip or fall might stab your self then your in a mess a good small compass a good head lamp a small first aid kit( if your a long ways out ) 2of 3 bottles of water some lunch if your useing a stand get a light weight climber better that hualing your your climbing steps back and forth and most of all get to where you know the deer are like the othe side of the hill you were telling us about and once your set up stay there Deer move at all times of the day and most of all be safe and have fun its one of lifes greatest things to do what we do good luck ooooo yaaa and if theres bear thats a plus they are tastey too lol

Hello and Welcome Al Lunn good luck and if i ever get in to that area i will let you know

You did the right thing as much as you want them gone its better use your head and do the right thing talk to the folks see what happens if they dont do something in a timely manner then all bets are off and take the dogs to a pound if you find them loose again it may cost you a little cash to drop them off BUT its going to cost them more to get the dogs out after it happens they will do something (loose tags before taking to pound)
