    I think I have scared off more deer then anything,Well keep giving it a try but no deer yet to the horns.

    Congrtas!!!! When I carry just a handgun in the woods Its my Super Red Hawk,If I carry a rifle then its a 357mag on my side.It don"t matter what your first one is because you well buy a few more!Congrats again Buddy be safe!!!

    Back in the day when I used a climber,I went up the tree got settled and took my glasses off to wipe the sweat off my face,well you guessed it my glasses fell off my lap.Now here it is still pretty dark so down I go takes like half an hour to find them now the suns up I turn around and all I see are antlers,Never expecting to see a deer I have a nice buck 40yards behind me and no gun left it on the hook still unloaded of course.Well that did it for me contacts always when I am hunting..

    When I hunt I wear my contacts more then my glasses I see more with the contacts.

    I would try to see where the deer enter and leave the feild,A trail cam would make it easier.

    Some real big deer in Westchester I go and watch every night,they well die of old age or get hit by a car no hunting here either,there are some coyotes but thats it.

    How about a nice hi end rifle case.I have seen some real nice leather cases.Or as said a nice knife is also a great thought.
