Elmo I well send ypu an address from where I buy all my guns he is up in Hopewell Junction. When I go home i well get the address.Dicks and Gander mtn and Cabelas are good for equipment But I would not buy guns there.
I used to hunt with a good buddy untill his brother started to hunt with us.He would do the same no orange, climb to his stand with the gun on his back, throw candy wrappers on the floor, you name it this jerk did it.I tried to talk to both. But in the end I found a new party to hunt with. Some guys just don't understand these are high powered rifles, there is no room for a mistake.........
Saw 2 tails yesterday,Heard some turkey but that was it.Today we saw nothing all morning, started to still hunt and the wind started so we left.We well be back next weekend.
I understand the bad taste you have from all this. But just do it that way.It is a nice gun you want it,so just go back together.its only a 20min ride from the Bronx.
Elmo the clerk should have caught this from the beginning when the name was not the same as the buyer. As far as getting ammo you may run into that problem a lot.Try buying ammo on line or the big stores like Gander mtn.I was at that location when it opened and wanted to stock up 223.ammo,and the clerk wanted to see my handgun permit.I got a bit mad and called the manager, and asked why I have to show a handgun permit for a rifle round and she had no answer.I got the ammo at a better price after that.I know some of these rules suck, but just go back with your brother and get the gun and enjoy it.
I own a Super RedHawk great gun but very heavy to carry.I bought a S+W 629 mountain gun with a 4in barrel,much easier to carry.I also own a 586 4in and 686 in 6in in 357.
