I use ladder stands and prefer the double rail type seems much more sturdy and as far as ground blinds go i have a few my favorite is the man cave ,very roomy and when used in cold weather you can bring a propane heater inside which helps on very cold and damp days.The roof area on top outside gets soaked in waterproof spray before I use it and seam sealer finishes the job. p.s. beware of moisture buildup inside the blind .I use a rag to wipe it off. I also buy tent stakes from wallmart to keep the blind sturdy in high winds.hope this helps

Never paid attention to them but since reading these threads put out about doves I can say with out a doubt there are a lot of doves in Brooklyn and at property in New Berlin N.Y. I see them all over in trucking lots and backyards now most likely because it has been brought to my attention .Huntable numbers I don't know but they are here.

As a guy who BEAT cancer I am already rich.So much of my winnings would go to ST.Jude hospital as I cannot hold back tears when I see children suffer from this scourge on humanity. As crazy as it sounds if you have a healthy family you are already rich.

Without New York City which is the CAPITAL of the world the rest of New York State is just a slum.We have the BEST POLICE force and FIREMAN anywhere in the world. Sure traffic is a headache but between the resturtants and nightlife nothing compares except vacation spots.I have hunted around the state and most areas are depressing to look at much less live in .Now don't get me wrong I love the country but nothing compares to N.Y.C. nightlife.Thank God we live in the GREATEST COUNTRY ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

Around 12 years ago myself and another member on this forum Steve7 were at the top of a mountain setting up stands and took a lunch break .We found 2 downed trees in a v formation and sat opposite each other and had lunch.As we finished lunch I happened to look straight down and observed a diamond pattern in the leaves next to both our legs. I stared at it for a moment and the shape of a coiled snake became apparent to me . I TOLD STEVE NOT TO MOVE AS THERE WAS A SNAKE BETWEEN US AND HE THOUGHT i WAS KIDDING [WHICH I DO ALOT ] Well he saw the look in my eyes and knew i was for real but could not see the snake which was still coiled up .I slowley put the barrel almost on the snakes head 20gauge and very,very slowly moved my feet out of the way,steve then did the same.The snake suddenly came alive and i shot it in the head almost cutting it in two .it was over 5ft and still gives me tha creeps thinking about it .P.S. I gave up hunting there when i found out there was a reintroduction program in that area .

I have 6 wireless cameras at my place soon after i got it all set up i invited all my neighbors and their freinds to my place for a cookout .. everyone saw my cameras and so did their kids ..everyone knows if they step a foot on my place i got them on camera even in the woods. i have cameras everywhere .My neighbor who sometimes passes by my place gets a call from me if i see him on a camera . they know Don't F#&%%k WITH MY SPOT. I BOUGHT THE SYSTEM ONLINE FOR ABOUT A GRAND TOTAL AND I SLEEP VERY WELL at night.Hell I even have a camera in side the trailer. One more thing if you have a shed put a house alarm in the door and window loud as hell neighbors will call police if they hear it ...

I use nitrile gloves that i buy in the drug store about $14.00 give or take and they work great and you get 50 pairs in the box .good use as protection as you work on your car or truck.
