Doc, would you happen to know if the older arrows from the recurve dad were heavier or not, if so, by how much? It's not all about speed sometimes, energy also matters for penetration.
So are you making the claim that the WB is a more accurate rest? Sure sounds like you are by your above statement. With all being the same, you gain more from a non WB, at the expense if additional cost. More accurate? Yeh, right!
So you have a problem accepting facts and statistics? I get it. You're one of those that like to make personal attacks on others because you know deep down, you lack the intelligence to hold a discussion on an Internet forum. Got it!
You can argue this until the cows come home, you use what you use, and others will use what they use. 3 fps or not, it's still slower and consumes energy that can be used at the broad head.
If you're looking to squeeze every FPS and terminal energy into your target, the WB is not for you. If you really don't care, then it's a low maintenance rest that is fairly reliable.
My bow cost me $275 and came with 8 Carbon express maxima hunter arrows, quiver, QAD rest, sight, sling, and carry case. I installed a D loop and purchased a release on my own and good to go. Parker Trailblazer.
Nice to see that you're getting into shooting a bow.
The problem you have is that you got this bow from doewhacker, JK!
Seriously, I can tell by your arrows on the target that you are having some serious fish tailing with your shots. You'll need to take your bow and favorite arrows to a pro shop or tune it yourself. I learned to tune my bow off the Internet and did it at the range. My range was great and even let me use their paper to paper tune.
Good luck.
Power lines are not to be hunted, but you are allowed to cross them. This is a fact for Sterling. Enforcement is another thing. The land is not posted.
Crappyice, many NYC watersheds have cats, use cut baits or dead shiners, etc and you'll get them from the shore. Make sure you have your DEP permit and NYS fishing license and you'll be good to go.
I hear a lot of hoarders buying things up, but I don't buy it(no pun intended). I too think there's something else going on they don't want the public to know. I believe the factories are running at full capacity, but who are they supplying?
