What kind of ML are you shooting? 100 yards is a walk in the park for ML of today's technology. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

I don't use a trail cam, but I might qualify as a newbie. I'd be interested to try it this year. Either way, very generous of you wooly [emoji106] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

We have a physics professor amongst us? What's the coefficient of friction on a bolt going 300fps with a 5mph wind? So if a slower bolt/arrow is more advantageous in the wind, maybe the bow manufacturers got it all wrong. Maybe we should be shooting 3fps instead of 300? What do you think professor? Don't blame computer systems for the shortcomings of the humans behind them. If done properly, computer systems can be unimaginably powerful and efficient. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

630fps is kind of borderline, and if you're using lead, and an ECO happens to want to bust your chops, I would bet you're under 600fps, making your hunting implement illegal. If you have access to a chronograph, give it a whirl and see for yourself. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Aside from bird hunters, and maybe rabbit hunters, shotgun hunting is basically point and shoot. I always have, and continue to respect those that can use a shotgun so accurately to shoot a fast moving object such as trap/skeet/bird/rabbit. But if shooting a squirrel up in a tree isn't point and shoot, then I must be doing it wrong. Welcome to corrections if that's the case. Most mid to high end PCP's can reach those distances accurately, and with some practice and some calculations, one can be proficient at shooting 100 yards and be fruitful with squirrels. The .25 Mrod is a great example of an intro PCP that can do all of the above. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/27801.html Air guns are here to stay. Update your friend and suggest he stays current with hunting regulations before he goes on giving out wrong information. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Might be easier to "fish" for frogs than to shoot them and have to go "fetch" then out of the swamps. If I was to shoot them, I would use my trusty .25 cal Marauder. I would hear stories from my dad when he used to go out at night and "shine" for them as a kid. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I suppose that's true, just point and shoot with a shotgun. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

There's a few good videos of "barking a squirrel" out there. You don't need an 30-06 to do it either. Many southerners love squirrel brains, and this method of hunting preserves that very well. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
