Remington 1100 and WinChester 120 Ranger
ants replied to fadetoblack188's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I have a 120 but I haven't used it in years. It is a great gun, with a real smooth, fast action. Any after market choke that fits a Winchester model 1300 should fit the 120. -
LOL!! Back in the day,I was in my early 20's, I had a girlfriend who dumped me because I hunted too much. The final straw was when I didn't show up for Thanksgiving dinner because I was out hunting. I planned on only staying out till 11:00 or so but we ended up having a lot of action and I didn't get home until well after dark......Her loss!!

I took a walk around today. Saw a lot of tracks in the cut fields. I missed last season and the year before that I got blanked, so I rare'n to go !!!

My obsession has mellowed with age. Now I normally don't start to "Jones" until September. But I just got back from taking a quick walk around the farm, scouting out the turkey situation. There were deer tracks everywhere and I saw where they destroyed the neighbors turnip plot. It has me thinking of tree stands and deer hunting already....I even trimmed out one of my stands, as best I could ,with just a small hand saw I had in my pack.

I think buying a single shot is you best bet. You can get a new one for less than $200 and a lot less than that if you can find a used one.

I have a Stihl ( real good saw) about three years ago I was in the Home Depot & they had a Homelite 16" on sale. Marked down to $110 from $175, so I grabbed it just because it was so cheap....It has turned out to be a good saw. I use it for all kinds of small stuff around the house and it has been fine. If you are just going to use it once in a while.... save your money and buy a less expensive saw.....It will work....

And what happened to that Saudi kid who was at the scene and just so happened to already be scheduled to be deported because of the risk of terrorist activity ??.;..... Piss on us and tell us its raining and by all means, do not offend Muslims !!!....LOL!! -
Congrats !!!!

Mine is just about ready for a cut. It's suppose to be in the high 60's on Wed. I think that will be D-Day.
-
LOL! A friend of mine, who is pushing 60 and has been hunting his whole life, carries so much in his vest that he rattles and squeaks when he walks, yet almost every year he bags a Tom. I go a little lighter. 3 or 4 mouth calls, a box call, a slate (that I rarely use) about 5 rounds of ammo, cell phone, pocket knife, snack and a water bottle.

Very cool.... I remember going on winter (dead of winter) scout camp outs as a kid... Then, years later, bringing my son (when he was in scouts) and staying in the very same cabins that I stayed in 35 years earlier. Good deal for you and your son...
-
Never tried it. Do you guys do head shots only or is the a bigger sweet spot you can hit with out destroying too much of the bird?
-
She had it going on.....

Early on the father said that if his sons were killed "all hell would break loose" Amazing.....

What ever they do it should involve pain and his balls...LOL!

Sounds like a good time. i haven't been to a concert in almost 20 years myself. Last one I went to was Santana circa 1995. Back in the salad days I use to go a lot Aerosmith, Boston, AC/DC, 38 special VanHalen (not Van Hagar) I forgot most of them.... Getting old.......

I use to work with a guy who was an Onieda Co. Sheriff. On night some kid comes into the station to report that he struck and killed a deer and that he had the deer in the back seat of his hatch back out in the parking lot. My friend and the kid go out to the lot and when they got there they found both back windows of the car broken out and the entire interior was covered on blood, hair and deer poop. no sign of the deer.

PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR NO GUN CONTROL
ants replied to hunterman7956's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
And I don't know if anyone heard the audio tape of the shoot out that killed the one brother, but the police certainly needed more than 7 rounds each to stop this animal. I guess he charged right at them. -
"It can't happen" is a big part of the antis argument.
-
It came out this morning that the one brother (the one the police lit up) had made a bunch of anti American , jihadist type videos.

Its getting bad. The local Gander Mtn. keeps a little bit of pistol ammo (9mm, 40cal 45) in the back room for that very reason. People come in to look at pistols but then say "Im not going to buy it if I cant get ammo for it" So Gander will throw in a box or two at a slight discount if the person buys the handgun.
