When I carry a .380 I use the Mag Tech Guardian Gold 85 grain +P. I tested these my self. They expand and penetrate very well. The Critical Defense stuff did well too but didn't penetrate quite as much.

I 2nd the classic look. Wood stock and blued steel all the way. But yeah its a personal thing.

I hunted with a 30-06 for years and the round speaks for itself. I switched to a 7mm-08 a while back and I love it. A little bit lighter gun with lighter recoil and just as kick a$$ on deer (at the ranges I hunt anyway) So far the longest shot I have taken with it was on opening day this year, at about 200 yrds. and it was no problem. The deer pretty much went nowhere. Only draw back I can think of is ammo can be a little pricey and hard to find unless, of course you reload,

Two guys at work use muzzle loaders only and they both shoot the TC Omega. They're muzzle loading nuts and both rave about the Omega. Is Knight still in business ?

I think that hunting detergent stuff is B.S. IMHO. Its meant to kill human scent, not oily stuff or fuel. I just use any brand "clean and free" detergent for hunting clothes. It's made for people with allergies or sensitive skin. No perfumes, dyes..etc and its crazy cheap compared to the detergents marketed to hunters. Every detergent co. makes it. Works great. Good luck

Wild is right. Those things can be scary. I took a deer hunting trip to Maine years ago. Early in the morning I was walking down a logging road just as the sun was coming up. There was a huge bull moose standing in the road about 40 yards in front of me. Thats the first moose I had ever seen a moose in the woods. I figured that, like a deer, it would run off the closer I got. Wrong!! It just kept looking at me and stood like a statue. I remember thinking "this could get bad". I got with in 20 yards of him and I finally stepped off the road and stood behind a big tree. He move off after a while. That thing showed zero fear.
