    I checked out a light weight Benelli 28ga, not that long ago…Ridiculous !!! It was like holding a Daisy Red Rider. If I still hunted rabbits I would have bought it……..I still might.

    I had back straps planned for tonight, but my daughter had her vegetarian friend over for dinner, at the last minute. I had to order Cheese pizza and salad……….Uuuugh. Tomorrow !!! Vegetarians ruin everything !!!!!! LOL!!!

    I think its way too late to find out who owned them, records were probably paper files back then and long since desposed of. I have an old NY plate from 1928. I often wonder who owned it. Its blue with yellow lettering

    Yup….My buddy hunts with a 336 in 35 Rem. He gets a buck every year, and they pretty much fall within 10-30 yds. He shot a nice big 7 pt this year that didn't go 20yds. I think its like the .45 ACP pistol round. Its slow and big so it hits harder than hell.

    I only killed one deer with my 336 35 Rem, before I sold it like an idiot. About a 60 yard shot and he didn't go anywhere. Maybe stumbled a few yards forward, but that was it.

    Was the barrel actually cut to 18" or was that a factory barrel size????? I love older " woods" rifles and I love the 35 Rem. I had a Marlin 336 SC in 35 Rem years ago, that I still kick myself for selling. The 35 Rem is a damn good deer round,

    Nice ..Use ethanol free gas or use an ethanol treatment in the regular gas or the carburetor will start leaking in the next couple years. Just an FYI

    Drones are not allowed, for hunting in NYS, right now. But if they were allowed, one has to wonder, that if one wanted to use one to scan ones woods, would one have to pay some kind of DEC fee, if one wanted to use one for deer hunting ones area?? And would it be a one time fee or a fee one would pay one time every year that one wanted to use one???
