  1. Background checks are and have been in place. And I think thats a good thing. But nuts and criminals will not get their guns by going to the local gun shop, filling out a 4473 form and going through a background check, which they would fail and be denied a sale anyway. They have people buy guns for them, or deal in stolen guns. Thats what needs to be addressed.
  2. Yup…I said that I thought there were a few that would.. The dealers that won't, think they are saying F.U. to New York anti gun laws and Little King Andy, but they are really saying F.U. to New York gun owners…. Way to show that you have a pair and support fellow gun owners and prior customers….
  3. Most online ammo dealers want nothing to do with shipping ammo to Cuomostan. I think a few will, but you have to look hard for them. Gander Mountain will accept ammo shipped from their own website only, but their selection isn't the stinks.
  4. And how will any of his ideas prevent some gang banging, law ignoring criminal scum bag from getting an illegal gun or using the one he already has, to commit a crime? Of course, a pro big government, NRA hating, Obama crush on, anti gun person like you will probably not answer that.
  5. I agree 100%. The trash that fellow "hunters/ fishermen" leave behind is disgusting. I always cary out trash, unless its too nasty to touch. When I trout fish the local streams, I carry one or two small kitchen garbage bags in the back of my vest. Sometimes I come out with one filled with bait containers, water bottles, beer & soda cans, discarded fishing line, food containers, wrappers….all kinds of crap. One time I hauled out an empty keg, about 20 plastic cups, a broken fishing pole and some other crap, that some sportsmen left at a section of a stream that they apparently thought belonged to them only. If anyone reading this does this kind of crap…..You are several levels below scum bag. Congrats….
  6. I have started to see them coming into a big cut soybean field in the afternoon. Last night I saw a few under in a small clump of apple trees that are part of a hedgerow on the property I hunt. The last time I walked by those trees there were still plenty of apples under them.
  7. This is right out of the anti gunner hand book and you know it. How about we pass a law that says criminals must obey current laws?? That would solve everything because then the criminals would have to obey current laws because its a new law. You would support that,,wouldn't you??
  8. And lets not forget the massive amount of illegal, untraceable long guns and hand guns that are in the hands of criminals right now. Does anyone honestly think that those guns will ever be surrendered or confiscated ?? So take guns away from law abiding citizens and what one group, besides police and military, will have guns???? Any guesses ?? anyone??
  9. The highest levels of gun violence in cities occur in specific high crime areas. The offenders often have criminal records and are repeat offenders of firearms laws. They obtain and possess their firearms illegally. They do not obey current firearms laws and they won't obey any new firearms laws. Or do you think they would for some reason???
  10. This last year or so , with Little King O, is going to be a long bumpy ride…..for sure.
  11. With the way hunting technology is advancing, and with so many hunters embracing it over traditional hunting, its just a matter of time before there is just one big "use what ever you want" season.
  12. It won't hurt anything. It just may be hard to get stuff to grow in an area like that, because of the low amount of sunlight you will get once the trees fill out. Find a seed that requires low light and give it a shot. You will still have the tree mass if the plot doesn't grow. Good luck
  13. I think the Remington Versa Max starts at around $8-$900 for the Sportsman model. Great reviews.
  14. Years ago, when I only gun hunted, I realized that my friends, who bow hunted, got to start deer hunting earlier and were having a lot of success. Instead of crying about not being able to gun hunt at the same time they got to bow hunt, I started bow hunting. Screwy idea…I know..
  15. One of my summits is at least 10 years old and the coating is torn up pretty good but the cables are fine. No real rust or frays so I don't worry about it. If you replace the coating I assume you would have to strip all the old stuff off. If you do it let us know how it comes out.
  16. A very happy birthday to you
  17. Never heard of them. Are they comparable to the Avian ?
  18. I still think it was you pulling the shots. I guess its possible for there to have been something off with the two loads you shot at the deer, but it seems very unlikely. What do YOU think happened?
  19. I don't use dekes a lot but when I do I just use the cheap cheesy fold up hen. Its worked more than once for me and on good toms too. Im thinking about getting the Avian though. Those things look so real its stupid. It might be worth the high price.
  20. Are those primed cases a standard size, like a 45 Colt or something that can be easily found or reloaded, or is it some Remington only case? I think Remington gives you a dozen or so with the rifle and thats it.
  21. Fishing, classic cars, ATV's, guns/shooting and a few other forms of hiding from my wife.
