Love pork roast in the crock pot with sour kraut . I put it in the crock pot with pepper and about half the kraut juice from one bag. let it go all day then the last 1-1/2 to 2 hrs, add the rest of the Kraut and juice. Serve it with a side of mashies with kraut over the top of them and a nice dark rye bread…..sometimes I cook it stove top in a big pot, if I plan on being home most of the day. DAMN… might have to make it tomorrow .

Me and the kids are on our own tonight. The wife is still felling it from last night. She had three whole drinks, which is four drinks over her limit. She's not really sick just ,that lay on the couch under a blanket thing all day. Its Either Pizza or Chinese..what ever the kids want..

I remember when I was in my 20's. Me and a friend were in a grocery store to buy something (probably beer) as we walked past the produce section, he looked around to make sure no store employees were looking, then he grabbed a big horseradish root and took a big bite. Guess how he made out after that……..LOL!!

The whole anti gun/ I don't think you need a certain fire arm, is more than kinda pompous.

I use to shoot once or twice a week. Now its maybe once or twice a month if that. I like to stay up with the pistols but….time and weather dictate a lot.

My sister is anti gun. Not the rabid in your face liberal type but the "why do you need that" head in the sand type. She often asks why I carry but its to the point where I just blow her off because there is no changing her mind. A couple years ago my nephew, her son., got into a car accident in a real bad section of town. His car had to be towed and he needed a ride. I picked up my sister and we headed out to pick him up. I intentionally drove through an even worse section of town, to get to the bad section to pick up my nephew. I remember my sister being visibly nervous and locking her car door. She finally asked me "do you have a gun on you?" I said "why do I need one?" I bring it up every time she give me crap about carrying and it sort go shuts her up. -

The one good thing about the 380 cartage is that you can get tiny pistols chambered in that round. The p238 is a good gun but all steel and 1911/single action is a big downfall for carry, IMHO. -

I met one of the two founders of Rohbaugh. He was an attorney from NYC and he showed me the very first Rohbaugh. Serial #1.. Awesome little pistol. They pretty much copied the C Camp with just enough changes to avoid copy right infringements. I remember him telling me that they would eventually sell the design and "clean up" LoL!! I could tell he was a smart old guy when I was talking to him.. That was about 10 years ago. -
yeah …I liked to use what ever brand hollow points, but I guess I would have used what ever ammo I had on hand. Its still a short shot with a scoped rifle……For me anyway….
-
I haven't hunted them in years, but I always had good luck with my old 10/22 and 4x scope, with what ever hollow points I could find. Never really long shots though, maybe 40yds tops and hold just behind the head, in the neck. They almost always fell like stones.

Really?? all of them?? and you know that ALL of them left their guns in their cars…right?? If so that was their decision. I guarantee I know more cops then you do and None of the ones I know would leave their guns in their vehicles, once they got to a family gathering. Wheather that gathering was in a public place or at a family members home. They would consider it protecting their family members rather than protecting themselves from family members, which you obviously believe to be the case. -

I would love to see these self righteous know it alls take to the streets of Chicago, Baltimore, South Central L.A. etc…. and protest all the gun violence in those areas. Think these brave souls will ever even consider doing something like that?? Or do you think the cowards will just continue to preach, from the liberal handbook, to honest law abiding gun owners, who don't shoot up their own neighborhoods every single day?? -

The LC9S Pro is my every day carry gun. I got it in June. It is excellent. Thin, light, very concealable and comfortable. You forget you have it on. Great rigger too. I have 250 rounds through it so far with no issues. Just don't make the mistake I did and buy Pro Mags, as spares, instead of the original Ruger Mags. -
RIP Meadowlark. He was a very funny,,very talented guy…..

If you're talking a true pocket carry, that no one will ever know you have on you, then its the Ruger LCP (380 Cal). Its tiny and reliable. The S&W Bodyguard 380 is another good choice but its a tad larger than the Ruger. Get the LCP, load it with hardball ammo, stick it in your front pocket and go.
