A lot of the Remington semis were known for jamming. The "Jam Master". Also, when loading you have to let the bolt slam forward (loud) or the bolt may not seat and the rifle won't fire. That cost me a buck once, with a 750. From everything I have heard and read the BAR is the way to go. Very reliable and very accurate.

In the real world? I would say 50 yards.

Thought the SPS came in a heavy version, VTR has that funky triangle shaped heavy barrel and the model 10 was semi heavy (my description) could be wrong. Do you want the rifle for deer, coyotes, target??? Just wondering.

Especially areas 7F and 9x…. Go to Kansas

Aren't all three, heavy barreled rifles??
-
I have 3 10/22's. 2 in LR and 1 in 22 mag. great little rifles. Never a single problem with one of them and one is around 30 years old. I agree with the suggestion of getting a plain Jane 10/22 to drag through the woods. Maybe try to find a used one that is already dinged up.

A little off topic, but if your getting ready head out to hunt, and are going to spray down, don't ever grab a can of buck bomb thinking its a can of Nose Jammer scent killer…. -
Was out of town hunting that week and missed your witty post little dude…sorry.
-
LOL!!! Still a funny little dude!!!

Yup… the anti gunners are all saying " SEE?!!…..SEE?!!" when they read stories like this. The woman's a moron

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with something that seems pretty easy to get right the first time.

Reminds me of Ron Whites stand up routine where his cousin is bragging to him about going to the woods and shooting a big buck with a 30-06, and Whites response was "well I got one with a van, going 50 miles per hour with the lights on and the horn blowing"

Beautiful buck…..How is it that a buck is smart enough to live that long, only to step out in front of a car???

Congrats, you won't be sorry..I assume you stuck with your original plan and went with the 7mm-08???? -

Congrats..very nice buck!!

Very nice!!! Reminds me of my Grand parents. They passed a couple years ago about a year apart, just shy of their 70th anniversary . They met when my grandfather was 16 and grandma was 14. Good memories.

The recent speech...
ants replied to philoshop's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Before using a term like "Saltine American" you should first check with the enlightened leftist clowns to see if they deem such a term as racist, at that particular moment……. -
You can still sent tails to Mepps??!!!! We did that as kids, with squirrels we shot with our BB guns. I think the most we ever got was like 2 bucks..LOL!!

Muzzleloader pistol law question
ants replied to bowtech2's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
You can buy one without a permit but if you load it, or are in possession of the gun and even one component, used to load it, it has to be on your permit. -
The wife takes care of all the Xmas shopping. I just have to buy for her, but her birthday is the 17th so I have to buy x2. I usually get my oldest daughter to do it for me.

Crack them into a small sized coffee cup first and then slide them into the boiling water, close to the surface.
