I FREAKING LOVE IT !!!! My grandfather finally forced my grandmother into a fake tree in the mid 1970's. After Christmas he would unplug the tree, carry the whole thing, decorations and all, up to the attic and throw a sheet over it. The next year he would carry it down stairs and just plug it in.. He did this for well over 30 years…He was a genius.

For what its worth, I got a Ruger American a few months back, and it is a great rifle. Light, great trigger and very accurate. I know a few guys, who also have them and they all are very happy with the American.

I have taken deer that had previous , horrific gunshot wounds. The worse was a little doe with its entire bottom jaw blown off….Nothing there…. I gladly used a doe tag on that one.

Zeiss cleaning kit. Cost me like $10 several years ago. Came with a brush, micro fiber cloth and spray cleaner, Works pretty good. But in a pinch, cotton balls and a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol will work.

Been seeing the most movement ( all does so far) during the last hour or so, by me…7F. Nothing in the mornings. Been using several different stands too. Haven't shot one yet,,still holding out for a buck. Hopefully colder weather and snow will come and turn things on a little. ML season goes until late in the month..Just keep at it.

I found 4 during this past spring turkey season..2 defiantly does the other 2 had no heads nearby. One time I found a 6 point head tangled in some Russian Olive, about 4 feet off the ground. A lot of hair everywhere but not a single bone, that I could find. I think the thing got shot or hit by a car and ran into the thick nasty stuff for cover and then got stuck and died in the middle of it. Coyotes grabbed what they could reach,

I would look into the Remington Versa Max. The standard Sportsman model goes for around 8-900. I talked with I guy who worked at Remington. He knew about every pin and spring in the gun. The thing is very well built and is designed to be extremely corrosion resistant

I hate to be "that guy" but I think that in NY State (under LIL King Andy) it would be near impossible to have a pistol license upgraded from Sportsman to carry. I know of several people in Onondaga Co. who have tried only to be denied. I don't get the whole "Sportsman only" permit. "Keep and BARE"

I say start with the cheapest and work your way up until you find one that flies well out of your rifle. Any factory bullet, designed for deer hunting, will kill deer just as good as another. I tried the Hornady Whitetail out of my new 25-06 and my old 30-06. They both fly great. $19.99 on sale. Normal price is about $25

Been seeing more movement in the afternoon, but no bucks. Pouring rain yesterday afternoon so I hunted out of a box blind. (Cozy) Had a nice doe out in front of me feeding for a good half hour. She was still there when I snuck out. Trying a different stand tonight. Good luck to all.
