  1. If we would like to have a North American standard of living for everyone in the world – say, 1 car for every 2 people – then we would need about 3.4 billion Nissan Leafs. This would use 32% of the identified resources (all known lithium in the world), or 82% of the reserves (all lithium that is currently economic to produce). Even with widespread recycling, that seems like an unsustainable prospect. Remember that the limits on battery capacity are fundamental. The only ways this percentage can go down are: Battery capacity exceeds 73% of the theoretical maximum (unlikely) New deposits of lithium are discovered and made economic (unknowable) Smaller lithium-ion batteries are used (shorter range) Fewer cars are built with lithium-ion batteries. This suggests to me that if all the world's cars are going to be made electric, it is likely that a mixture of battery technologies will be used. It is certainly possible to build millions of electric vehicles with lithium-ion batteries, but it may not be possible to make billions of them. World Lithium Supply (stanford.edu)
  2. The world will run out of lithium far sooner than it will run out of oil too.
  3. We were not dependent on any other nation for oil until Biden destroyed our energy independence which Trump won for us. We could be energy independent again if people were not fools when they vote.
  4. "For months, I have been ringing the alarm bell about inflation. Once again, we are witnessing that the threat of inflation is real. There is not a corner of this nation where hard-working families are able to escape the noticeable impact of this 'inflation tax.' Inflation taxes are draining the hard-earned wages of every American, and it's causing real and severe economic pain that can no longer be ignored. It's beyond time for the Federal Reserve to tackle this issue head on, and Congress and the Administration must proceed with caution before adding more fuel to an economy already on fire. As inflation and our $30 trillion in national debt continue a historic climb, only in Washington, DC do people seem to think that spending trillions more of taxpayers' money will cure our problems, let alone inflation. We must get serious about the finances of our country. It's time we start acting like stewards of our economy and the money the American people entrust their government with. Now, more than ever, we must remember it is not our money, it's the American people's money. It is not our economy, it's their economy. We all have a responsibly to do all that is possible to roll back inflation and manage our debts because the longer we or the Federal Reserve waits to act, the more economic pain will be caused." —Senator Joe Manchin "One of the biggest, and one of the oldest, taxes is inflation. Governments have stolen their people's resources this way, not just for centuries, but for thousands of years." —Thomas Sowell
  5. Have no fear, Brandon is here. "We're in a situation now where, you know, you should have peace of mind." —Joe Biden
  6. It's not a laughing matter, but it's not a stretch to say that a person would have to be on crack to vote for the Democrats these days. And perhaps that's precisely the point.
  7. Quite presumptuous but hardly likley. https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/rochester/news/2022/02/10/parent-forcibly-removed-from-webster-csd-meeting-speaks-out?fbclid=IwAR0D8BvtigzdBgYK2T5V3YqckNvJ2NDismr7qJk7wNEl478-d5KDE8ik8M0#
  8. You have no idea what else I do, and you never will. You, on the other hand, are part of the problem, as you seem to discourage any type of resistance to anything the left forces on the people. Tell me Lefty, what are you doing besides attacking resistance?
  9. Meanwhile war in Ukraine is looking inevitable. SMH.
  10. I know many do work like that, but not all do. I assume the highway ones will need to have the swipe a card feature, but am not sure. Who pays for the "free" ones?
  11. And you have a closed mind if you think, in spite of all the evidence, that it's impossible that it was. You are entitled to your opinion, however uninformed it may be. If you had an analytical mind, open to all possibilities, you might not be so easily manipulated. Trump was attacked by the left and the RINO's from the day he stated he was running for POTUS. He was vilified, slandered and impeached TWICE in an attempt to remove him from power, while proving to be the most effective POTUS the country has had in over 20 years. Suddenly the virus comes to the US, with leading leftists working against Trump to stop it from entering the US with travel bans. Then when it gets out of control, they blame Trump and proceed to destroy the greatest economy the country has seen since Reagan, to insure he loses the election. They put CV-19 positive patients in nursing home to increase the death totals, count all who die with a positive CV-19 test as a CV-19 death and push for "mail in ballots" which have never been allowed and known to be a major cause of voter fraud. All for a virus with a 99.75% survival rate in healthy and young people. Now they are keeping the fear mongering in overdrive so they can demand "mail in ballots" in the 2022 election, while claiming it is already "rigged" knowing polls show the left is in for the worst shellacking it has ever had in all of American history. It's obvious this virus has been political from day one and continues to be. But you think it is impossible it was used politically to keep Trump from re-election. My advice, stop using common core math here.
  12. Dismissing reports you don't agree with doesn't eviscerate their credibility. Exactly what part of what they reported isn't true?
  13. The Washington Free Beacon's Patrick Hauf said that the outlet "confirmed the story with the HHS, provided context on the grant program beyond the crack pipes, and described how these 'smoking kits' have been implemented elsewhere." Per Hauf, "HHS panicked after the story was published and claimed it was 'blatant misinformation.' Then came the fact checks. Then came the social media labels." "So now," Hauf wrote on Twitter, "the federal government is denying pipes are in the 'smoking kits.' More than 48 hours after the story was published. I was previously told by HHS the kits are used to smoke crack." Interior Health Canada provides glass pipes as part of their safer smoking kits, for crack and meth smokers. Part of the reasoning of providing pipes is to prevent people from injecting the drugs. "Harm reduction" programs in Maryland received backlash after it was revealed that smoking kits included glass pipes. A Washington, DC bill allowed "to distribute harm reduction supplies such as safer smoking kits, safer snorting kits, and other infectious disease prevention harm reduction materials previously criminalized under DC law." This program joins others that facilitate drug use by drug users by providing the means for them to use drugs. Safe injections sites have opened in many locations across the US, including in New York City.
  14. In order to pander to 1% of the vehicle owners on the road, Biden wants to shell out $5 Billion tax dollars to put charging stations on highways. Who gets the bill for the electric that is supplied to EV owners on these highway chargers? Are they going to put coin slots in them or burden taxpayers with that cost too? US Eyes Charging Infrastructure The Biden administration announced yesterday $5B in funding for states to construct charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. It marks the first tranche of funding drawn for such projects under the $1.2T bipartisan infrastructure bill passed last year. Initial funds will be focused on fast-charging stations located along major interstate highways, an attempt to address a disconnected and difficult to access charging infrastructure across the country. The administration has set a goal of 500,000 new chargers by 2030, an eleven fold increase over current stations. Electric vehicles sales in the US jumped 83% in 2021 year-over-year, accounting for 3% of the market (hybrids notched another 5% of light vehicle sales). Still, EVs make up less than 1% of the more than 250 million passenger vehicles on the road today.
  15. Many government forms from agencies that are not so stupid just ask for "Gender at birth". That should be all that is used.
  16. Get well soon. Follow your doctor's orders and think positive. You made it this far and now you're in the home stretch. The silver lining is, you will be back in the deer woods come October.
  17. Anytime the government puts such vague terminology into a bill they want to pass into law, past history proves we can always assume the worst things possible will be employed because of it. It leaves the law open to interpretation and many more legal fights over it's intentions well into the future. If they didn't want the bill to be a catch all law that will allow them to do whatever they decide, they wouldn't use such vague terminology in it's creation. This is a bill proposed by the radical left to keep part of their base alive with tax dollar paid by responsible, productive citizens. The people who benefit from it are societal parasites who make a conscience choice to put their health and lives in jeopardy. To support, or even defend such a bill, is to think like a leftist. If one thinks like a leftist, it's ludicrous to claim one is not a leftist.
