  1. Kagan is looking to Scalia for familiarity with gun ownership for hunting. This helps her to form opinions on the restriction of any weapon not suitable for "sporting" purposes. Handguns, semi-auto black rifles, combat shotguns, and the like are her targets. If you are prepared to fight, OK then, that's good. But they are already taking our gun rights away as covertly as they possibly can. The fight is already in progress. I hope you are in it, not viewing it from afar thinking it doesn't look too bad from there.
  2. Whoa! I can not entertain further discussion on this subject when you ask a question like that. Examine her record and rulings and get back to me. And the Liberal Judges will be replaced with RADICALLY LIBERAL Judges this time. Kennedy is considered a moderate. He voted for gun rights in the past. Early, that was never said. The voices in your head are yelling over the conversation again. Time to up the medication.
  3. This is a perfect example of how the public education system conditions students to avoid challenging authority. A whole generation of Leftists has been spawned by this system and it is not letting up any tme soon. This is a NY State university also. We should be protesting at maximum volume this was happening here in NY. http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/student-journalist-faced-suspension-for-asking-questions/
  4. Ginsberg and Breyer are conteplating retirement, as is Kennedy. The Liberal Judges will choose to retire while Obama is in office in order to allow him to appoint two more radical Leftist Judges like Kagan and Sotomeyer. How do you think that is going to impact future 2nd Amendment rulings, especially when the individual right to own firearms ruling was upheld by only a 5 to 4 vote when it was ruled?
  5. If you don't belong to the NRA you're foolish. You don't have to accept, or agree with everything they say and do, but if you are against them, you're against most firearms freedom in the government's eyes, and can be easily duped into "common sense" legislation that takes away your gun rights. The NRA is the most informative gun rights group in the country. They give you the facts. Form your own opinion about them, but get the facts none the less. If you choose to hate them, the government loves you, because you are not thinking for yourself, you are letting the government tell you what to think.
  6. Another example of the government "Thinking Outside Of The Box" with regard to the 2nd Amendment, to infringe on law abiding gun ownership.
  7. Simple. Infringe on as many areas as possible, in spite of the 2nd Amendment. The SCOTUS has to decide what's constitutional after it is applied. It took over 30 years to strike down the DC gun ban as unconstitutional. And with two new anti-gun leftist Judges to be appointed by Obama in this 2nd term, you can bet future SCOTUS opinions will not favor individual rights under the 2nd Amendment.
  8. By your paper trail statement, you seem to believe that many law abiding gun owners are selling their guns illegally and that is where criminals get their guns. The incidences involving this scenario are extremely low. Putting pressure on all gun owners because of it, is misguided and unproductive in the reduction of crime. It is, however, very productive in advancing the government's war on gun owners and advancing their desire to make it harder for you to own firearms, or keep them. You need to evaluate your trust in the government and develop greater skepticism skill, based on the past history of government firearm oppression. With the amount of gun laws on the books now, and their obvious ineffectiveness towards reducing crime, doesn't asking for more gun laws seem a little stupid to you?
  9. You're not being paranoid. The anti's and the government are always looking at ways to prevent gun ownership, regardless of the impact on crime. Most laws on the books have no impact on crime, yet the government persuaded enough voters to allow them to become law. It made them feel good about them and sold them false hope. Why would your own government do that? It fears an armed populace that can defend itself against a government that wants to grow bigger and control all facets of your life. Every Communist and Socialist regime throughout history has done the same thing to retain power. Our government is leaning further Left every day and those guns in the hands of citizens are a real obstacles in the way of the government's progress and "Forward" movement. The government is not your friend and is not looking out for your best interests, unless you believe the total nanny state is in your best interest.
  10. Seems that way on the surface, but like most other gun laws already on the books, it wouldn't work. Criminals will not do the transfers through dealers and there are millions of illegal guns, as well as stolen guns, out there now. And making it harder to buy them, makes them more valuable to thieves. Therefore more will be stolen. The fee you suggest on transfers could be raised to hundreds of dollars to prevent transfers. These type of laws only impact law abiding gun owners and do nothing to prevent crime. It is a statistical fact that is proven every time a gun law is evaluated. Registration is not needed to protect a gun owner against liability for theft of his guns, reporting them stolen is what protects you. The fact that the law abiding gun owner would even be held liable for his stolen gun's criminal use is a prime example of how much the government hates gun owners and coddles the felons who commit the real crimes. Registration is desired by the Fed for only one reason, they want to know who owns guns and how many you have, so when they decide to make them illegal, you will have no excuse, or choice, but to turn them in. This is how it was done in England and Australia. Please study their gun registartion history and confiscation before you decide this would be a good idea. It most certainly is not.
  11. Some people just can't be reached and are definately part of the problem. This society is doomed.
  12. The government is like a tiger that sits near you waiting. The man who thinks he's safe because it hasn't lunged forward and devoured him yet, is quite optimistic, but foolish. When you have allowed the government complete power over your freedom and liberty, it is inevitable it will eventually exercise complete control over it. The Constitution was written to prevent this from happening, but fools have allowed it's protections to be eroded by unpatriotic power hungry politicians and a politically charged US Supreme Court, which is about to get even more Liberal with the next two appointments. Your gun rights are being scrutinized as I write this. They most certainly will be drastically infringed over the next four years. Those who own guns but are not fighting for the rights of all gun owners and the entire 2nd Amendment, need to check their arrogance and apathy, unless they want to find themselves regretting their ignorance and contempt of those more far sighted. You may not see agents at your door in the middle of the night to take all your guns, but like the drug war operations go, you will be under surveillance. When enough evidence has been gathered and the time is right, your blip on their radar will be enforced and your whole life will become completely firearm free and a nightmare. One felony conviction, for any gun law offense, and all of your guns must be turned in. The Fed doesn't need to take them, you will need to turn them in. Is that a joke to you? If you think this is not going to happen, is laughable, or a joke, please keep your distance from me, as I don't want to be associated or affiliated with you when they take you down. It's also easy to tell who you are. If your not NRA, it's obvious.
  13. We suffer with this system because too many NY State gun owners think these rules are "common sense" and "reasonable" restrictions on our rights to own a handgun in NY. Those are the people I blame for this system. If all gun owners would object to, and protest this system, it wouldn't exist!
  14. I agree with the statements on the CZ doubles. I have their 28 gauge Ringneck double. It has sideplares with case coloring and handles really nice. Well worth the money, good quality and comes with choke tubes as well.
  15. I hunted the day after a hurricane about a decade ago. I never saw so many deer in one day in my life.
  16. That's very nice of you to offer. I have a 16 ga, but don't shoot slugs in it. Where is Newark Valley?
  17. I agree with the Redfield Revolution suggestion. I put one on my .308 and think it is worth way more than the $175 I paid for it. With the Lifetime Warranty from Leupold, it's the best value for the money by far IMHO.
  18. Obama and his minions insisted that the attack was a spontaneous protest against an obscure and amateurish anti-Islam video from the Internet. Obama himself repeated this same line 14 days after the attack in a speech at the UN. But we now know that intelligence sources and official U.S. State Department emails definitively show that not only did the White House know within two hours that a terrorist attack was underway and not a spontaneous riot, but they also knew which terrorist group had claimed responsibility. Administration officials monitored the attack in real time via phone lines and drone video. In fact, the first email is time-stamped just 20-30 minutes after the attack began. This latest news proves that the White House knew the true story from the beginning and they used the video story to cover up the truth of Benghazi, all to shield Obama from the results of his own failed policies, and his phony campaign-stump claims that "al-Qa'ida is on the run." While American diplomats and personnel fought the terrorists for seven hours, Obama's crack national-security team and the U.S. military simply watched and listened. U.S. fighters could have been on the scene in an hour offering support, and U.S. commandos within 3 hours, but no orders were given. A military-loathing, anti-American commander in chief sat on his hands while U.S. territory was attacked, a U.S. ambassador assassinated, and three other Americans murdered, and team Obama then devised a phony story to cover up for the disaster. Meanwhile, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the alleged video maker, the Obama administration's scapegoat for inciting the Benghazi attack, is still being held at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center without bond for a parole violation. Nakoula's next court date is Nov. 9, which just happens to be three days after the presidential election. Very convenient for Team Obama, but what's another injustice when retaining power is the end game? Obama and his fellow miscreants simply must be removed from power.
  19. Yes I agree with that, because the US isn't a Democracy, it is a Republic. In true Democracy the majority rules. Imagine what could be made legal if the majority always got to make all of the laws.
  20. Maybe so, but I don't see anyone trying to argue with his post. He makes some very interesting points there. I clicked the link and read the article. Can't say I disagree with it.
  21. Looks like a Fallow deer. May have escaped from a game preserve near the area. http://www.nsrl.ttu.edu/tmot1/cervdama.htm http://www.arkive.org/fallow-deer/dama-dama/
  22. What you are saying is you don't give a damn about anyone's freedom and rights but your own. As long as your desires are not infringed upon, you couldn't care less about the next guys.
  23. You brain is the only thing full of complete and utter crap. How about an intelligent debate with a rebuttal of a few of the issues addressed in the link, rather than posting such a juvenile comment? ;D
