    I wish I had that problem with Apple tree's We have none, but I'm really thinking of clearing an area and starting to grow them.

    There are a ton of clubs, just google around, hopefully someone on here can point you in the right direction. However, you should let people know how far you are willing to travel. The thing about most hunting clubs, at least the smaller ones, they do not have a web site and somewhat secretive. At least the ones I've herd of in the past, you need to be in the click or be a family member to join or be "sponsored" to join. Don't rule out state land, there is a lot out there to hunt.

    I didn't realize that the rule, none the less, would never in a million years think of traveling with powder in the gun or let it sit there longer then over night. (and even then I unload it 99.9% of the time)

    That think looks sweet, do you have to add a bunch of weight to that thing to get it to tear up the ground?

    Its neat, but I love the ladder stands with the shooting rail, as well as the two seaters. They are just way more comfortable,especially for long sits.

    I love getting in the stand early, about 30 to 45 min before the sun starts to creep out. It is amazing to watch things start to pick up when the sun comes up.

    Really its up to you... But, if it was me I would disc it, soil test it, lime if needed and replant. See how that plot gets hit, you might want to try out a different seed as well.

    Same for me, I always have a bunch of granola bars and some fruit. And a few bottles of water in the backpack as well.
