Cool, any pics of the other plots? -
Hunt upstate. Shoot Bow @ CB Archery in hicksville. Gun something NC Range or Calverton.

Yes, your not following the rules, avoiding reporting could include not using your tag, which would be poaching.

Whats a "Good" Bear (Size, Paws etc)? How do you rank it?
burmjohn replied to TheHunter's topic in Bear Hunting
I'll be keeping my eyes open this year. Fairgame got a real nice bear last year and his is my new hunting neighbor. The previous owner of the property we picked up said he took a bear every year, ranging from 200 to 500. (I never saw any pictures, its what he said @ closing) My one neighbor who does not hunt said there is a solid 250+ that roams around his house at least once a week. None the less, I am excited. -
You got 60!? Wow Yes I think that qualifies...

send letters for crossbows in NY

99% Let off? Magnified peep? Is there such a thing Maybe I am out of the (release) loop. Again I'm really on the fence on this issue..... I'm trying to impartial. But I'm 32 years old, at 15 I got my first bow, and a compound bow was handed to me, and that's what I have used for the last 16 years. I started with shooting with my fingers, only went to a release 4 years ago to be honest. Shooting a compound bow with a site, peep, 65% let off is not easy. Maybe at 10 yards, but at 20,30,40 its a diff story. Maybe I am a shitty shot. I did shoot a crossbow, at my buddies in PA, first shot dead on at 40 yards. 2nd shot at 50 yards dead on (slightly low). It did feel like a gun in my hands, and its not the same as a compound bow, or any bow for that matter. What I do know, is I am 100% for anyone with any disability that prevents that from using a old style bow or modern bow to use a crossbow in archery. And there is no reason why a crossbow shouldn't be allowed in rifle season. -
Sweet, I am not sure how you do it. I would shut it off, then mark it armed after your done. Make sure you post some pics for us to see!

http://www.wfmz.com/news/24369121/detail.html LARKSPUR, Colo. -- A brown bear broke into and became stuck in a car in Larkspur early Friday, Denver TV station KMGH reported. Sheriff's deputies responded after a neighbor called in a suspicious vehicle because the car's horn had been honking for 45 minutes, Deputy Michelle Rademacher said."I was in bed and my mom and dad came rushing in saying, 'Did you lock your car today?' I said 'No.' My dad's like, 'It's gone.' At that point I was freaking out, and he said, 'It's a bear. There is a bear trapped in the car,'" said the car's owner, 17-year-old Ben Story.Ben said the bear had somehow hit the shifter and the car rolled backward about 125 feet, off the driveway, down an embankment and into some trees."So this bear opened the door on his own, somehow the door closed behind him, he panicked and started thrashing around, hit the shifter and put the car, took it out of park," Story said. "It rolled back, down over the hill and down into here, and stopped. The four-way flashers were on. It's like he knew what was going on, and kept hitting the horn."The bear even managed to turn on the hazard lights.

Well if there are any cases where any one of these people are burglarized, then I can only pray they use the gun to its full potential in self defense.

It was on a little hill, we moved it now though. It was about 15 feet high. There is a spring about 100 yards away too, it flows a little slow in the summer though.
