  1. imho you can not beat an encore.
  2. now go ahead and get the last word in and feel good about it ok.
  3. but you didnt answer my question about again pointing out what I should say or do as an instructor.
  4. you are entitled to your opinion. Now again have a nice day.
  5. funny part is no one pays attention to it until guys like you keep pointing it out. Yes I changed it just for you. You pmed me whining about it. Plus just because I post something that basically says I do not take crap from anyone, has not a thing to do with me being an instructor and more so an excellent one. Posts like your last one are exactly why I have the disclaimer. Apparently you can not comprehend what it means because you again tried to use it to again tell me how I should act as an instructor. Would you feel better if I put I was a mediocre (that meas average) instructor so you could try to harass me for that instead? Good try though.
  6. I look forward to shooting it this weekend
  7. well you sure handed me my as that time lol. I edited my signature just so it would not bother you anymore. I did not want to hear you whine about it any longer.
  8. wooden stock with a cheek piece on it.
  9. I was at my local gun shop last evening. I go there just to hang out a bit once in a while. Anyway I was looking at handguns and fell in love with the new Ruger sr40c sub compact 40s&w. It sure felt good in my hand. I also for some silly reason grabbed a shotgun off the rack. It was a new mossberg 835 ulti-mag. It handles 2 3/4 3 or 3 1/2 shells. Came with various chokes and was a nice gun. Anyway it at one time was a combo, but the slug barrel had been sold separately which was fine with me, as I have no use at all for a slug gun. Long story short, the shotgun came home with me for 315 dollars plus tax. I thought a pretty good price as I have been researching it since I got it home. The ruger has my name on it now, and I will pick it up in a couple weeks for 425.00. Gotta love toys.
  10. i usually carry. either the S&W 357 or the 45acp. I feel pretty well covered either way.
  11. can I have a list of all these instructors? I would be interested in seeing the list of all 4 names. And be sure to take my disclaimer out of context and use one sentence. It says my personal views do not stop me from being an excellent instructor. As far as teaching cross bow in my classes knocking me off some pedestal you think I am on is ridiculous at best. I have all the things I need to teach cross bow at this time from the state. We are not teaching it yet as the curriculum has not been rolled out. We have been given a 15 minute dvd which shows history, and safety with a cross bow. That is all there is going to be. 15 minutes per class. Again I Ask to please post the list of instructors who think they are holding the state hostage.
  12. that would be ok if early paid into the system to keep us rather than live off the system
  13. Early is just a guy who loves to stir things up and call names. In other words a liberal. I bet he lives on the dole and does not want to lose his income. If you notice he or she has no facts or figures just names and finger pointing.
  14. the auto insurance claim is so silly. First off you do not have to purchase insurance. You can post a bond to cover it. Also if you do not own a car you do not have to purchase insurance. Everyone has health. Also the car insurance is a state to state mandate, not a federal mandate. Lots of differences. call me scrooge. we already have health coverage I pay for that the less fortunate get. it is called medicaid.
  15. well with the track record of such health care in other countries, I will pass on it thank you.
  16. as Bill Engvall says I am not afraid to go back to prison
  17. amen grouse mine are 24 and 21. My youngest is engaged. She lays down the rules and he says yes dear. I still say they are not engaged as he has not spoken to me about it yet. He is a hard working guy and they get along well. I could do much worse.
  18. I have been shopping around. I am simply looking for an alternative to rifle or muzzleloader. Just a new toy to play with. As far as archery goes, I use a recurve and enjoy it. I do not own a compound and plan to keep it that way. Would I use a cross bow in archery season, I doubt it. But do I think they should be in archery season most definitely. I would be more apt to do so during regular season when I get bored with the ml.
  19. ahh yes the big rally in Albany where if I recall all of the archery instructors said they refuse to teach crossbow. What a crock. I have been doing a bit of research and I was at the meeting. Two or maybe 3 guys said they refuse and the state officials said ok fine then you are no longer certified. How they quickly changed their minds. If they do not teach the curriculum, they are out. Big Tom can puff out his chest and pretend to have connections with power, but it is all false. The state has the power, we don't and of a couple volunteer instructors think they have that much power, they need to talk to someone. Again, it is all of no matter. It will be taught in the gun course, and that has not been officially rolled out for us yet.
  20. lol wny since I blocked him he needs a new person to try to boost his ego.
  21. I totally agree it should be, but, I am telling you it isn't going ti happen. As instructors we have been told the way it is going to be. Unfortunately it is the reality of it. It is not going to change.
  22. again cross bows will not be taught in archery. It is being taught in the gun course when it is being started as of right now. That may change in the future, but I doubt it. The reason is it is tough enough to get into a bow course now as there are less instructors, and the demand would go through the roof, and everyone will be complaining they can not use them. This is the exact path taken years ago when muzzle loaders became popular. The original plan was a course just for mlers. When they could not get adequate numbers of instructors, which I planned to do, they incorporated it into the gun course and dropped the special class. The name of the game is numbers and to get the numbers up they will do it the way they are.
